Always a delight to visit this stellar dive! Food is scrumptious, service is prompt, and prices are reasonable. Plus, they are a kid-friendly place. I usually get one of their wraps…my favorite! Burgers and other sandwiches are fantastic too. Don’t forget to check out their happy hour and Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday specials.

We had a party in the back room with food. The meal was great, service was great-The girl bringing our drinks was great, she was a very hard worker. The only gripe I have is their men’s restroom was not nice at all. Very undersized and in need of a major update, also not very clean. A nice clean restroom speaks volumes of an establishment. It reminded me of a restroom at some dive bar.

Ate here back a few weeks ago. Fish fry was good and the waitress was awesome, but the Owner/bartender was a jerk. At 10 PM he took our drinks off the bar and poured them out, then stated “we are closed” and that we had to get out. Menu is limited. Place is for sale. Heard it used to be great, but now its clearly not. Won’t be back.

Had the shredded beef burrito and it was huge! Came stuffed with shredded beef, tomatoes and onions and topped with cheese, sauce, lettuce and sour cream along with a side of chips and salsa. Will definitely order again. Service was very good and waitress was very pleasant.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves on a Friday night and they got us seated pretty fast. They kept thinking we had a bar tab even thou we just walked in, I had a soda that somewhat tasted like one, I ordered a different flavor and still very weak. We both ordered fish plates and they were decent at best, the cod was dried out and tough, the coleslaw was pretty bad to. We have eaten here in the past and had good results but this wasn’t good at all.

The second star is only to give some benefit of the doubt because we went on a fairly busy Friday night during Lent, which Wisconsinites are crazy about (granted there was no wait). Without that consideration: 1) The waitress didn’t want anything to do with us. 2) The perch tasted like it was fresh out of Sysco’s freezer that morning. 3) The price seemed like it was swimming around in Lake Michigan that morning. But hey, at least the beer tasted good. The atmosphere seemed for the most part like a classic Wisconsin Supper Club, but little else seemed to match that.

Definitely the worst fish fry I have ever tried. Ordered the seafood platter special last night. The fish was all dry. The shrimp was undercooked. The potato was microwaved. And over microwaved. Tarter sauce didn’t taste like any tarter sauce I have ever had. Not in a good way. Almost like miracle whip with sugar added. Not one part of this meal was even close to respectable. I can’t believe this place has any business. The cooks obviously don’t care. We only came here after another place we tried was way too busy. First time customer and last time customer. I only write this in hopes of saving people money. Go elsewhere for a fish fry. Any other place but here.

I have been to Gippers before, and this is the worst I’ve ever seen it, we walked in there is no waitress around nobody behind the bar we sat down we did get a drink. We waited and waited for our waitress to come back for her order, finally the bartender came out to clear off only two booths that were the only ones being used at the time, No one else was in the the front dining room or bar area. So we asked her to get our waitress she went back to get her, she was busy in the back room with a group of people so the bartender took our order we both ordered the salmon she came back there is no salmon. The bartender we did have as our waitress was very nice and very polite she was trying to do the best she could period but only having one waitress is absolutely ridiculous when you have a large group of people coming in. Appetizers and drinks were great and very affordable with the happy hour special. Unfortunately had a terrible experience with a bartender. A gentleman next to me asked if he could order drinks and pay the happy hour price for them (2 for 1) for a friend of his who was on his way and wasn’t going to make it their quite in time before happy hour ended. I didn’t think this was an uncommon request, but the bartender, an older female became angry and short with him even after he gave up and stopped asking and accepted the answer of no. Not only that, but just because I happened to be sitting one seat down from this guy she also turned and snapped at me as well. She then went over to the other end of the bar and began talking about the customer very loudly to other patrons, making a simply request into a spectacle for the entire bar. Just extremely unprofessional and rude and I will not be returning to the location because of this.
