From the second I stepped up to the counter, the attitude was immediate and unmistakable. No greeting. No basic courtesy. Just eye-rolling, heavy sighing, and the kind of exaggerated annoyance you’d expect from someone being forced to do something far beneath them. Asking a simple question about the menu triggered visible irritation, as if doing their job was a personal inconvenience.
What made this experience truly unacceptable was the aggressive tone and confrontational body language. One employee leaned over the counter in a way that felt intentionally intimidating. Their responses were sharp, clipped, and delivered with open hostility. The other stood there smirking and laughing under their breath, clearly mocking a paying customer. It wasn’t subtle. It wasn’t accidental. It was deliberate.
At one point, I was interrupted mid-sentence and snapped at with, “That’s what I just said,” in a raised, irritated voice — even though the information had not been clearly explained in the first place. There was sarcastic clapping. There were dismissive gestures. There was constant interrupting. It felt less like ordering food and more like being subjected to a power trip.
This wasn’t bad service. This was aggressive, combative behavior that created an uncomfortable and tense environment. I genuinely felt unwelcome and targeted for no reason whatsoever. No customer should have to brace themselves just to place an order.
If this is the standard of behavior management allows, then there is a serious leadership problem. Either these employees have received zero training in basic professionalism, or they know they can behave this way without consequences.
I will not be returning, and I strongly caution others. No slice of pizza is worth being treated with open hostility and contempt.
The veal parm was pretty good. Honestly, the grinder was 16″ and the price was fair. The pastrami was also not bad. Would have to try it again to see if the Pizza was good. So not a strong ” recomend” There are other places in the Area to try. ( Which we have) It was Monday, so a lot of places are not open.
