Hi, I’m Tom Powers and my wife, Caroline and I are the new owners. The restaurant has been a destination for locals looking for fine Italian food and great customer service since 1991. We have 55 years of combined experience in the retail food and restaurant industry. Caroline was a manager of Round Table Pizza in Garden Grove for 16 years and I was a Bakery Manager for several grocery chains and worked with several restaurants before my 8 years with Sysco Foods as a Marketing Associate. Went here for a date night with my husband and was completely impressed! We came to try the pizza and discovered the ribs are the best we’ve had since moving to Cali. The cheesecake was perfectly balanced and delicious. We will be back with our family for the lunch buffet soon!

Me and a buddy came in for the lunch buffet right as it started. The atmosphere seems to be kinda giving 90’s/ early 2000’s but let’s get to the service and food. Our waitress we had was absolutely attentive and very polite and took our order within I’d say maybe 3 mins of us seating. Perfect! Food slowly but sure was rolling out but I kinda wish the heat table was maybe a bit bigger to put more on there. Either then that, you can tell the pizza was fresh but personally, I’d stick with the regular crust the place makes. I’ll for sure consider coming back again!

The restaurant’s menu is very gluten allergy friendly and advertises that 80% of the menu can be made gluten free. I got a GF pizza with dairy free cheese and a GF chocolate lava cake. their pizza crust was not a thin crust either which is usually what you get with GF pizza. they had so may food and dessert options that were GF, I can’t wait to try new stuff next time!

Wow ordered take out. Ordered chicken parm, spagetti&meatballs, feteccuni, and meat ball sub. The sub was terrible soggy bread no marinara no taste. The chicken parm was bland and again soggy no crunch no flavor. Most frustrating is the meatball and spaghetti had almost no marinara with 4 horrible meatballs tasted frozen. The packaging was sloppy and chicken parm sandwich wrapper wasnt put on right and got soggy crap all over takeout bag. The food has zero flavor and absolutely no pride in their food. Maybe stick with the pizza but I wouldn’t. Overpriced with small portions and no flavor. The most bland flavorless garbage with zero effort or pride in ownership. Very disappointed. Don’t believe their paid for reviews. Ruined my dinner and appetite.

Just as an update All You can eat Pizza and Salad buffet including drink for 11.99 is back & dont forget the senior menu. The food is still good but service has gone down on my last two visit.

I recently realized I’ve never reviewed Giovanni’s after eating here on and off for about 30 years and 2 owners. The food here is pretty good I have my go to favorites and there are things I haven’t tried as well as thing I think could be better. Giovanni’s also participates in the Localflavor.com program currently with a $30 for $15 gift certificate so its a great value. This restaurant is also a favorite of the senior community since the have a senior menu at lower prices. Some of my favorites here are pizza,lasagna ( meat & spinach), chicken fettuccine and cobb salad. The things I think they could do better is the deli meats seem too salty( & I’m not salt sensitive) & pastrami. These are two things I really enjoy and if they did it better I would have to drive to Temecula to enjoy them. They also have pretty good soups with two choices minestrone every day and one other which changes daily. I have not tried the steaks or ribs since I already have go to favorite for these dishes. I enjoy this at least weekly and since I found the coupon up to three times weekly. Enjoy!!

I’ve only ever had the pizza and there’s a reason we keep coming back for takeout. They have the best pizza around hands down!!! Just be aware they are kind of stingy with the toppings, so order extra if that bothers you. Make sure to check your pizzas as well because we got the wrong order one time.
Their prices are about the same as Domino’s and Papa John’s but the quality is far superior.

I called to render a pizza with no cheese (DoorDash etc doesn’t offer that in their customer choices). They said to do it thru their website which I did at 6:30 pm, got a confirmation order number. At 7:15 I got a message saying Giovani’s didn’t confirm the order so it was cancelled}. Confused I recalled back got a very arrogant girl who was saying they stop doing take out orders at 7:00, I explained to her that my order was confirmed with order number at 6:30. I was just to reiterate what I was told by the original person, but she kept interrupting and rude, and very arrogant. I’ve been a customer there for many years and have never had a problem. I’ve recommended Giovanni’s to many people and no more. I can’t imagine having that woman being with restaurant patrons. We’ve owned two restaurants in Orange County, and behavior like that was tolerated.

Definitely my family’s favorite pizza place we always order out. The workers are always very friendly. The best gluten-free pizza that I have ever had. They make the crust homemade.
