I was excited to finally get to try this place. I’m in Huntington fairly often for work, but have never had the time to stop in. I found that I wasn’t missing much. When I got my pizza I had to request a knife to finish the cuts because they didn’t go all the way through. I would have just ripped the cuts, but that brings us to issue #2. My pizza was under cooked and still really doughy. I tried to muscle through, but pizza shouldn’t be chewy. The Manager was really nice and took the pizza off my ticket since I didn’t have time to put the pie back through the oven being the they were so busy. The atmosphere though was really cool. Definitely had that local pizzeria vibe.

If I could give less than one star I would… Last night my partner ordered pizza at 6:51pm. The girl on the phone was very rude and complained to him that she didn’t want to be there and had gotten called in. He asked to pay in cash and was told he couldn’t so he paid with a card. He called at 8:23pm to see what was taking so long for the same girl who told him he couldn’t pay with cash to say oh, cash orders come first. How does that even make sense? Then she complains for a second time that she got called in and doesn’t want to be there. Finally, STILL no pizza at 8:53pm. I called this time. I directly asked for the manager. I was put on hold for five minutes and then got “this is the manager.” I said what is your name? She paused for a brief moment and then said “Catherine, whats the issue?” I said the issue Catherine is that we ordered pizza over two hours ago. We are hungry and already paid for it. Where is it? The response I got was in a rude and uncaring tone. No apology, just well, do you want a refund? I said I guess so since now we are hungry but need to go to bed because we have to work tomorrow. She then told me it could take up to two days for the funds to come back to our account. Then headed up to bed and banging on the door. Door dash is there with our pizza at 9:33pm!! . The driver had absolutely no idea the order was canceled. I went in person to Giovannis today to speak the store manager. They weren’t there but I spoke to the manager on duty. She said no one works there named Catherine. I said thats pretty sad your manager has to lie about her name and deliver such terrible customer service. She said she would take care of the situation and gave us a 35 dollar credit. While today’s visit and apology was appreciated, what happened to us last night was unacceptable, uncalled for, and highly unexpected from a local restaurant. Fix your management team Giovannis and staff your business with friendly people!

Food was good. We put in an appetizer with our drinks. The appetizer came out with the pizza. We had to get another waitress to refill our drinks. It will be a long time before I come back.

I ordered 30$ worth of food, got my family 10$ worth of chicken wings. Literally 6 super tiny wings were in the box when I got home. When I called to complain and said I’d like my money back they said “sorry they’re prepackaged”. Wouldn’t offer any solution. Really crappy considering you can get 15 large wings the same price at many restaurants. When I was a manager, if a customer wasn’t happy with someone, I’d try to resolve it. Not just say “they’re prepackaged” when someone asks for a refund.

Put on hold several times. Finally placed order after third call. Female employee was rude. I said thank you and she just hung up. Terrible customer service. They really should train their employees on propper phone etiquette and how to speak to customers.

Food was okay, but service could be a lot better. I waited almost an hour for a sandwich and onion rings. I probably won’t be back.

First time trying Giovanni’s & was completely disappointed! The woman on the phone who shouldn’t be taking orders if she can’t properly write them down & forgetting items. Ordered a pound of traditional hot wings & asked for them well done, I received all drums literally not a single flat. They were soft & barely had any sauce on them. Not to mention how extremely tiny they were! They shouldn’t even be called wings!!! The camera does it justice!! The pizza was flavorless & the dough tasted underbaked. After calling the store & asking do they always put just drums for wings & being told they always do a good mixture of both, telling them I received all drums & the guy just laughed it off saying you received one of the unlucky ones. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

I’ve been dining here for over two years now, mainly on trivia nights. After multiple, consecutive meals of poor quality with poor service I’ve finally decided to write a review. I’ve been hesitant to judge too soon with recent change in ownership but this place has had time to work out the kinks. It seems that service and food quality have been on a downward spiral since the new owners have taken over. First, the service has been terrible for the last several visits. Over several visits there has been mixups with the wrong food being delivered, food ordered at the beginning of trivia being delivered at the end of the game, and difficulties getting a server to the table. Tonight for example, I waited 10 minutes for a server so I could place a drink order. It took an additional 18 minutes before I could place my food order. When my food arrived my two items came out 13 minutes apart. On one occasion in particular we had to call the restaurant from our table to get a server to come over as she appeared to be behind the bar scrolling on her cell phone. Recently it has been more difficult than not to get a server to tables for orders and refills during the last eight visits. Lastly for the service, several of the servers and one of the servers who identified herself as the assistant manager talk to guests, try to take orders , or collect checks as trivia questions are being asked this makes gameplay difficult in an already loud environment. Next, food quality has gone downhill as well. For five consecutive weeks my French fries have been room temperature, why? Portion sizes have appeared to shrink. For three consecutive weeks the pizza crust has tasted and appeared undercooked. Several members of our trivia team have noted the ranch dressing has tasted “off” under the new owners and no longer request it. Finally, I’ll end with some good points. The server Dawn, who is now rarely there on trivia night, is one of the most competent servers at this restaurant. Servers have been switched around to make tips more fair for everyone. Also, the salads have recently been been very large and fresh.

My friends and I go there on Tuesday night for trivia. Last week I ordered grilled chicken salad. Waited a very long time, asked about it, and was finally told my order had been lost and they would comp it for me. I took it to go and when I got home, saw that it was the wrong salad. Tonight I ordered grilled chicken salad again, and it was pretty gross. The chicken wasn’t good, and the salad consisted of lettuce, cheese, bacon bits, and the chicken. Not exactly what you would call salad, but ok, maybe I need to read the menu more carefully.
Then there’s the service. Lately it’s been terrible. Besides losing the ticket last week and getting the order wrong, the server tonight (9/9/25) disappeared after awhile. I had to go up and ask for our checks, which she brought during the final trivia question. Never a good time to do that. We go there to play trivia and are serious about it. We regularly have to ask more than once for to go boxes, plastic bags, etc. Tonight my friend had to get up and find napkins and cutlery himself. Doesn’t Giovanni’s train their servers?
