This is the second time we ordered baked penne pasta and it was dry and the noodles taste and feel like they’ve been in the pot for at least several hours. Noodles are supposed to cooked aldente. Very simple. I can do much better at home. For real.

Truly nothing special or amazing. However, for a small town with not much, this is a good stop. Even though the sauce tasted somewhat canned, everything was good and very well priced. It’s simple and no frills, but will satisfy. I had the cannelloni and my husband had the lasagna (lasagna is better). The soup was good and salad was fresh just pretty much a Walmart bag though. Our amaretto sour was pretty sour but we still liked it and it was only $4!! So that’s great. Nice, clean, friendly.

I’d like to edit, after getting home they also go the order wrong.
You pay $25 for a chicken Alfredo DINNER but no soup or salad. Prices have gone up and quality and quantity have gone WAY down. I’ve NEVER order any Italian dinner that didn’t come with soup or salad. What a disgrace to overcharged for some noodles and sauce. Get out of Lampasas so we can get a company who CARES about their customers.

I stopped in to this location for lunch on a Friday with a group of friends. We were seated promptly and received good service. They have an extensive menu of Italian cuisine, ranging from classic dishes like pizza, lasagna, cannelloni and more, to some with unique wrinkles of their own….bread comes with the meals. We enjoyed salads, pasta, and veggies. My cannelloni was delicious and others had the shrimp scampi, spaghetti, and dinner salads. All were well received. Prices are reasonable and a full bar offers adult beverages. Carry out is an option and parking is adequate. Stop in for a nice meal Italian style.

Worst food ever. I have sent it back. I had spaghetti and meatballs. I am sorry I could not eat it. The waitress are not present. The restrant is gloomy and depressing. I dont see how they get 4 start when the sauce tastes like it came out of a can. Worst in the area.

We’ve lived in Lampasas 3 months and hadn’t tried Giovanni’s until last Sunday. As of tonight we’ve now gone 3 times! It’s that good. Calamari is crisp on the outside, tender on the inside. Pasta is just amazing! Marinara has a bit of a kick. The steaks are cooked perfectly. The hot bread served with each meal…oh man is it good. They have a large bar selection with specialty cocktails. Most of all, the food is hot and fresh. All the veggies are crisp, nothing is swimming in sauce and the food tastes wonderful. Out of all 3 visits, tonight’s service from Grace was the best!
Update 2/12/25 – the food is still wonderful. New menu item, Shrimp Capri, was fantastic. Fresh asparagus and the sauce was so light and perfect. Lots of really nice sized shrimp. I neglected to get a photo, but it was plated beautifully. They had Valentines Day cocktails that were yummy. Our server was a sassy young lady named Katelyn who was just adorable. Great service. Ask for her next time you’re in.

Loved the food especially the mozzarella salad. I had the salmon and shrimp over linguine and it was delicious. I also ordered a lasagne to take home to eat later and I have no doubt it will be just as amazing.

The environment was great, and our waitress had a great sense of humor. A few of us ordered the Lasagna and it was a bit bland. The bruschetta was wonderful, and the plate I ordered was great. Not a fan of their breadsticks, but we all have different tastes. I would eat here again.
