Money Making Mitch – that’s his name! He provided exceptional service and had the best sense of humor! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our visit (4th time here): atmosphere, drinks, freshly baked bread and oil medley, salad, entree, and dessert! The hostess and owner were nice also. Will definitely visit again the next time we’re in Greensboro.

This is a tough one. During Highpoint market things get very busy and sometimes things don’t go smoothly. Tonight we ate at Giovani’s and were greeted by a woman that right off the bat said we don’t have any tables, you’re going to have to eat outside. Mind you the table they sent us to had a fireplace that worked for about 3 minutes. We asked to be seated inside, mind you we did have a reservation. Thankfully we were seated inside, it was 52 degrees outside and dropping. Our waitress was a gem, her manager was not. Again, things don’t always go to plan and the staff was overwhelmed. The true problem was the management was unkind and very short with the staff. This made them stressed and we did our best to let our server know that we realized her situation and did not blame her. The food was just ok and what could have made up for it was a little grace from their management. I hope they can come together and realize that as a team they can get over anything. I had the Veal Masala and my wife had Spaghetti Carbonara. Both just ok and not up to the standard we’re used to, we’ve been eating there for over 20 years.

Absolutely loved my dinner there last evening! The lamb chops were fabulous and the mushroom sauce made them even better! The service was excellent, over the top. The waiter gave great service without interupting our conversation or pestering us with too much attention. I was very pleased and I will be returning there again soon. Thanks to the owner and all the staff for an excellant dinning experience!

We feel completely ripped off after eating here tonight for Valentine’s Day.

There were four people in our party and we were only given a special Valentine’s menu with very limited choices. My husband ordered the Lobster Ravioli entrée for $30, and what came out looked like an appetizer portion — he was still hungry afterward. It’s also listed for only $24 on their regular menu online.

I ordered the Chicken Piccata ($30 on the Valentine’s menu, but $28 normally). The portion was small and not good at all. The chicken was not tender and sitting in a watery sauce with mushrooms, onions, and capers floating around. Very disappointing.

At the bottom of the menu, it stated that if someone ordered only an appetizer, they would be charged an extra $10 due to seating. Items like Chicken Piccata and Chicken Parmigiana — which are normally served with pasta according to their online menu — were served with grilled vegetables instead, and they charged an additional $10 if you wanted pasta. Are you kidding me?

The bread was good and the salad was decent, but everything else was a letdown. The server was nice, but when asked questions about menu items, she didn’t seem very knowledgeable.

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. You’re honestly better off going to Olive Garden — it’s less expensive, you’ll get an actual dinner portion, and the food is much better… seriously.

This was my 2nd time here. The first visit was good, but needed improvement. Well, improvements were made! I ordered the mussels marinara as an app and not only was it HUGE, but it was also delicious! The basket of bread and dipping sauce that was brought to the table was heavenly. Our table ordered chicken parmigiana and Spaghetti and sausage, and we were both more than satisfied with our entrees. The service was good and our server was very personable, as was the manager that came over to say hello.
You must check out this place!

The first thing we saw was this DISGUSTING air vent when we walked in. That was enough to make me lose my appetite. The next thing we saw was an angry, rude older woman who seated us and acted like she did not want us there. It took a long time to get our orders, then food and drinks. The table next to ours was experiencing the same issues. The busser took away my mother-in-law’s salad plate before she was finished eating and then came back to get her main course plate and the rude older woman asked her “Are you SURE you are finished?!” My food was not good, as the sauce was was thin and really had no flavor. Because the evening was so challenging, our family of 5 got a $25 credit, which we appreciated, but there are many Italian restaurants in the area without filthy air vents and better, more courteous staff. We probably will not return.

I do not recommend dining here. We went on Valentine’s Day. They had a “special Valentine’s Day menu” that was very limited and prices were higher than their usual menu. Our server was fantastic although general service was slow and unorganized. Food was very good but over priced with most entrees not coming with pasta and having to pay $10 extra for a small side of it. They did not offer a cocktail menu although having a full bar.

We had to wait 15-20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and reservations were never checked. They did not have a hostess and we were seated by someone from the kitchen staff. We were told the only table available for us was a high top by the bar. This happened to seat us right next to the either the owner or manager who was clearly already several drinks deep before we got there. Throughout the duration of our dinner we saw the manager/owner drink 4-5 more cocktails, flirt with the bartenders and severs (who were all also drinking), and yell at a server infront of everyone for an issue ringing a customer up so the manager went back and charged them more after already giving them the bill.

During our dinner we had to wait over an hour for our entrees and even though we had asked for pasta it didn’t come out with the entrees and was brought several minutes later. While the food was fantastic I would not recommend coming here.

My husband and I made reservations here mid November ( week before Thanksgiving) as a last date night before I gave birth to our daughter. Please note it was for 6 pm on a Sunday.

We were promptly seated but the waitress immediately gave us the heads up that they were short staffed and had a 15-top table coming in.

We weren’t in a hurry by any means and appreciated the honesty. We immediately reevaluated our expectations and hunkered down for what would be an extended dinner due to the delay.

Drink order came out pretty promptly. Ordered an appetizer and our entrees at that time.

Took about 20 minutes for the appetizer to appear. We had the fried mozzarella. Very delicious and highly recommended!

Entrees took another 45 minutes. In that time drinks were not refreshed.

We finally flagged someone down in order to get refills on water and begged for some bread! ( Hungry pregnant lady!)

The entrees, once received, were quite good. Very traditional Italian which I enjoyed immensely.

We plan on giving them another chance and hope that it’s a better service experience.

I took my daughter and family for dinner for my daughter’s birthday. It took 5 mins to be greeted or acknowledged. . The food was terrible considering pretty much everything was over $30 or more. Salad had rotten tomatoes, my pasta was over cooked and too salty. My daughter’s pasta was forgotten So I had to remind that she didn’t get pasta and when it was served, it seems like it was sitting for a long time so it was rubbery so I had to tell them to take it back. And worst of all, this is an Italian restaurant but I was told they ran out of Parmesan cheese……. I told my son that this is like going to Sushi restaurant and told they have no raw fish….. It is an overpriced for the food what is less appetizing than Olive Garden.

Servers were very nice and that’s the only thing we liked about this place.
