Everything was so delicious!!
We tried a sub and they give you alot of meat for the price you pay and it is so good!!! And the chicken parmigiana sub was made just right , crispy chicken breast with delicious red sauce .

And we tried the chicken Alfredo the best I have had ! And the garlic bread so good!

The rueben was stacked very good quality and tots were nicely fried. Wish I was told rueben was the days special instead of just getting sandwich and side. But wasn’t thirsty enough to redo order and save a few dollars

Take out order of spaghetti with meatballs which comes with three pieces of garlic bread. They pack it great for traveling, wrapped in cellophane and comes with fork, knife, and Parmesan cheese. I ordered light sauce and it was perfect for me.

It was incredible!!! We live in South KC and stopped by on New Year’s Eve, but we didn’t make it in time before they closed. We stopped in today and it’s was worth the wait! They have a huge selection. We had the Italian club, Giovanni sandwich and combination toasted ravioli. The portions where huge for the price. Great value! Everything was delicious and the service was friendly, joyful, and just made you feel like they were truly happy to have you. This will become a part of our regular rotation of eateries! Can’t wait to come back and try the pastas and desserts!

I’ve driven past this place countless times and never stopped til tonight. I got the Italian club and it was so packed with toppings but it was crazy good I only got through half. My wife got the turkey club and that was good too. Big plus my girls loved the food too. Thank you for a wonderful meal and great homey feel

We just stopped in while out shopping one day I remember the friend had told us about this place and it was really great
I had the pasta and Italian sausage and my wife had the chicken sandwich
The sauce is pretty much like my mom used to make
If you like sweet sauce, this place is for you

It’s not Garozzo’s or Cascone’s, but it’s not priced like those places. It’s great quick Italian comfort food. Always hot and delicious, usually ready within five minutes. Eat in, to go, and drive through options make this spot super convenient for everyone. The serving staff is extremely friendly and polite; you can tell this is a family-run establishment.

I’ve given this place a couple of chances, but it keeps missing the target. The first time, the old lady bringing me food was surprisingly rude, like customers exist for her. I let it slide, figuring maybe it was just an off day. Recently I ordered a tenderloin sandwich, and the meat was so thin it had to be around 1/32 of an inch thick. Definitely not worth the price. The pasta is decent, but they really need to step it up with their sandwiches. right now they’re just doing the bare minimum.

I’m normally not a complainer, but when I want a really good Italian steak, I drive all the way from Smithville to Giovanni’s or the little store on Riverside AA Highway. This time, I spent $40 for two Italian steaks, an order of ravioli, and mushrooms. Because I was starving, I started eating my sandwich on the drive home and saved the other for my husband. Unfortunately, “disappointed” would be an understatement.
The sandwich wasn’t even warm—honestly, I don’t think it even qualified as cold—and the steak was extremely chewy. Definitely not a good grade of steak this time. The ravioli and mushrooms were good and hot, but the sandwich was not at all, and that’s what really did it for me.
I called just to let them know, not necessarily expecting anything, but as a courtesy—especially since I drive an hour and a half each way. I was told I could drive it back in to exchange it if I wanted. I explained that wasn’t reasonable, as I wasn’t going to drive all the way back from Smithville.
Unfortunately, this will be the last Italian steak I get from there. Very disappointing experience.

I’ve been going to Giovanni’s for 30 years. Fantastic food. The Ross Specialty is possibly the best cold cut sandwich ever made.
