There’s places you go to dine that are simply a means to an end. Much like going to a gas station to fill up your car. We’d debated between going to get full or to enjoy ourselves or to experience something extraordinary. We chose the latter today. My taste buds were romanced all through an experience I was sad to see end once we’d run out of room for more.
(Honestly I wasn’t expecting to get so full, the beautiful layout and atmosphere can lead you to believe it’s going to be three lima beans and a compote for the entree)
We got the ribeye crustinis and the Mimosa flight to start, the bread with olive oil and vinegar, the ribeye omelette and shrimp and lobster lasagna for entrees. We were done in by the service Brandon gave us. And his recommendations were top notch. We’ll be back for sure.

Giovanni’s does not disappoint. The service is great at the tables or at the bars. The food is so good and the drinks are well priced. My fiancé and I love to split a bottle of red and split an order of the crispy fried calamari & shrimp. I personally love the lobster ravioli since it a so unique that each ravioli comes topped with either crab, scallop, or shrimp.

Server was great! I thought he was attentive and sociable ensuring we were good with everything. We had the calamari, gnocchi, and clam pasta.
Unfortunately the calamari had some freezer burn when you peel into it. The gnocchi my wife got was delicious. The clam pasta, I thought it could have been slighty thicker sauce to get the dish holding together more. Overall I thought the place was great

Food is amazing and atmosphere is top notch. The crusted chicken is yummy and meatballs are so good. I have never had anything that did not taste good. This is a great spot for date night in Rockwall.

Location has harbor views, inside hostess was friendly but our server Georgio was fabulous, he had high energy and great customer service skills. Overall food was good. I’d suggest a little thicker broth for the lobster bisque and less cook time for the calamari. Other than that there were no complaints.

Outstanding place for dinner! We’re from out of state visiting family & we had an amazing evening at Giovanni’s! I’ve never had better service at a restaurant and our waitress Isabell was beyond amazing! All the other staff was also very attentive and kind, including the manager who was stopping by tables to ensure everyone was enjoying their dinners. Highly recommend Giovanni’s if you’re looking for a wonderful, modern Italian experience!

Went with a party of 10 and they handled the large group better than most. All the appetizers and entrées came out surprisingly fast and in the right order. Service was decent nothing over the top, but attentive enough. I had the steak; it was okay, cooked as ordered, no real complaints, just not a standout.
Overall: solid spot for groups when you want a smooth dinner experience.

The hubs and I decided to try Giovanni for our anniversary. The restaurant wasn’t too busy or loud. We were seated quickly. However, we weren’t approached for around 15 minutes. We went and asked someone if we were in the wrong place. Turns out they had a new hostess that didn’t tell anyone we were sat. Brian was our waiter and definitely turned the night around. He was so personable and attentive. The menu was a little misleading. I ordered the piccata but had to ask if it came with chicken. It did, so that was good. Some items said what they came with and some didn’t. Apparently, they have off the menu items as well since they already have the stuff. So, just ask! The food was good. It could have used a tad more seasoning to get it to the next level. We will definitely try it again! Lastly, it happened to be a Thursday, which means concert at the lake. Parking was a little bit farther than desired but turns out that Giovanni’s will validate your valet parking. Just so you know.
