It is fantastic that Gio’s is now in La Canada! The imported French pastries, amazing sandwiches, salads, coffee drinks, and pastries are the best in the area. Enjoy them for breakfast, lunch, or to go.

I strolled in here because i was taking the JPL tour and had time to kill, so wanted to grab some coffee and breakfast.
Never had a cannoli or a cortado i think its called, so I thought eh when in Rome.
Coffee and pastry was ready as soon as I sat down. Wait for breakfast was what 3 minutes?
Inside is charming, a soft yellow with comfy chairs and nice soft ambiance music.
Makes me feel like im at a cafe in Italy casually enjoying my morning.
Definitely coming here on a slow morning to relax and read a book!

The owner is friendly and really knows how to welcome his customers. It’s clean and spacious inside. Mind you, the pastries are good and so are their sandwiches, particularly their ham and cheese and turkey croissant. It’s right next to Jersey Mike’s and the prices are on the high side. But, you get what you pay for.
**Update: Their paninis don’t look anything like what you see in the photo. There are no veggies. And, they’re bland and dry. The quality has gone down! I will not order paninis from here anymore. Why change something that was good?
