First time at this location in over a decade, or any Giordanos for that matter. While I never thought it was great, it seemed decent from what I recall. After sampling three different styles tonight I can confidently report this is some of the worst pizza in the city.
The traditional thin crust is what you get at kids birthday parties. It’s pizza without flavor or character. The new tavern style was actually ok. The toppings, cheese, and sauce were decent. The crust wasn’t very crispy and not much flavor, but overall not bad. The deep dish was terrible. A mound of undercooked bread dough. I have no idea how this is considered one of the better places for deep dish, there are a dozen options that easily surpass the quality. The appetizers were also subpar but not worth writing up.
The service and atmosphere were fine, no issues there.

First place we decided to eat once in Chicago. Nice decor, friendly and efficient service, and we finally got to experience true Chicago pizza! It was very good! (If you’ve never ordered it before, keep in mind that it takes a while as it is very thick )
Will return when we’re back!

We are in Chicago for the day. We drove up heading to New York coming from Kansas City where we live. We checked into our hotel and after a 8 hour drive we needed dinner.
We found a pizza place 6 minutes from our hotel and headed that way.
We listened to GPS and pulled into the parking lot $10 to park… I’d recommend looking for street parking a block or 2 away. We were in the parking lot and I was tired of driving so we paid and headed inside.
We were greeted and seated. We ordered and because it’s a deep dish it took a bit but we had some parmesan frys that were delicious while we waited.
The pizza was delicious and I’d definitely recommend stopping by. Looking forward to comparing it to New York pizza in a couple days.

The deep dish pizza lived upto the hype. The crust is super crisp on the outside, and it’s soft inside, making it absolutely perfect with an insane cheese pull. All their ingredients seem very fresh.
I would suggest to make a reservation upfront. Also deep dish pizza usually takes 45 minutes to order, so if you already fixate on what to order, do it before you arrive, so there’s no wait time involved.

Just want to acknowledge this location for its wonderful customer service. I first called in to place an order for pick up and that experience was amazing. The manager was very helpful and patient. I arrived and they had valet parking but the guy inside booth asked if I would be long.. just told him I was picking up and would sit while I waited.. he gave me a courtesy 30 minutes without charge…. Awesome. I get in and sit at bar. I was immediately greeted by LALO he was amazing. Very professional and helpful to my wants. Food came out quickly. Drinks were great and I was able to meet that timeline to leave for parking.
Highly recommend this place!!

Giordano’s, in my opinion, is the best deep dish restaurant in Chicago. We kept it simple and ordered The Special, and as always, they delivered a fresh and flavorful pizza. Just remember that deep dish takes a while to cook, so be sure to order an appetizer to hold you over while you wait. I’ll definitely be back!

Its a standard pizza joint. I’ve only gone to this one at lunch time and it tends to be fairly quiet in the main part of the restaurant and often has parties in the back area. Staff has always been friendly with decent service.

I ordered a SMALL tavern style pizza and got this (pictured) NOT tavern style pizza for TWENTY dollars. Do NOT go here if you want tavern style pizza!! They clearly have never even heard of it despite the signs and advertising campaigns all over chicago.
