It’s a cute little place, if you are a sushi lover – this is it. Their tuna avocado roll was delicious! If you are around it’s worth a try, they also have a lunch special Bento box which is very worth it

The service has been great every time we’ve went. Food is delicious and portions are generous. Prices are great too! It’s hard to find a good restaurant that meets all of those marks and is consistent. Definitely a hidden gem!

We drove from Jacksonville to give this place a try. We had two appetizers, gyoza and peppered tuna, both were delicious. My wife had sushi and it was fresh and tasty. The hibachi was amazing, the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the fried rice was perfect. They have so many sushi rolls to choose from we have to come back to try more!

Love this place. We go for the soup and sashimi my girlfriend can eat (she can’t eat rice). I used to go for the udon noodles, but ever since i found it i have been getting their katsu bento boxes for the variety. You get the main dish, dumplings, fried rice, a soup or salad and a roll! I always get a spicy salmon roll om the side and we usually get edamame (so much better hot!). Love the whole experience! For both me and my girlfriend with the apps, a la carts and entres we usually spend about $60. They have cheaper lunch specials, but you get smaller portions. Highly recommend!

Finally! Best sushi so far of all the ones I’d been to in New Bern. Ordered a shrimp tempura roll, a spicy California roll, and veggie tempura. The sushi rice was prepared correctly. The tempura batter is light as it should be.

Will try the hibachi the next time.

Be careful when ordering food from here if you have a food allergy such as sesame. Some of their employees don’t understand what it means when you request no sesame. I was assured by an employee (allegedly she didn’t know) that their fried rice didn’t contain sesame, but it does contain sesame oil. They need to ensure their employees are trained on food allergies before they make someone sick!

I ordered 2 lunch plates, asked for no sesame when ordering. I asked the lady when I picked the food up to please make sure there was no sesame on the plates. I drove 20 minutes home only to find sesame on both plates. I called back up there and they offered to remake the food, I agreed and drove 20 minutes back up there. When I arrived they hadn’t even started making my food, I had to wait 10-15 minutes. There was no compensation or effort to make it right for my time, hassle, and frustration. My meal should have been comped after all the trouble! After 1.5 hours, I finally had food that I could eat.

This review is not about the quality of food or taste as they normally have good food. But they need to take food allergies seriously and when you make a mistake, go above and beyond make it right!!

I love a bento box. Not too many places carry them so when I see the option I have to stop and try it. Ginza Japan is a place I’ve passed many times and never thought to go in. It is a small place, limited seating but there’s enough booths, tables and bar seats they make it work. I went around 3:45 and couldn’t believe how busy it was. Always a good sign. The wait staff is super attentive and helps you as soon as you’re ready to order which I appreciate. The menu is great for sushi and hibachi and the bento boxes come with numerous choices. I went with the shrimp tempura and fried rice. You get 3 gyoza and California rolls, soup and salad. It is alot of food. It arrived in a timely manner and everything was so fresh and well made with quality ingredients and flavor! The shrimp came with tempura mixed veggies which was a nice suprise and as someone who doesn’t need a ton of shrimp having the 2 shrimp tempura was actually the perfect amount with the veggies. Those ordering shrimp tempura and expecting 4 or 5 shrimp tempura only may be disappointed. I ate it all because it was that good. I’m still stuffed 4 hours later writing this review. I wish they served alcohol then it would be truly perfect. I look forward to coming again when the opportunity arises. Oh and all this food came to $15.95. Can’t beat that!

If I could give this establishment more than five stars for service I would! Our wonderful server Amanda was beyond amazing! She was so personable and just all around great at what she does.

The food was great! We ordered 6 different rolls and all of them were delicious! The “mango love” roll was so fresh and refreshing however was slightly disappointed that it was only 3 pieces.

I will definitely be returning to try some of the other specialty rolls as everything we had was delicious and the services was perfect!
