I had a large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and Italian sausage, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was spot on—savory, perfectly balanced, and made with quality ingredients. The size was generous, and each slice was loaded just right. While it’s a little on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth it for what you get. Honestly, this is probably the best pizza I’ve had since moving to Georgia. The ambiance of the place really adds to the experience too—the building has that classic pizza joint vibe that just feels right. Highly recommend if you’re a true pizza lover!
There was no military discount, but I did receive a discount.
I’m too lazy to lay out all the details so let me start and end with the crust…because anyone who has ever eaten a real pizza knows that is the ONLY thing that matters.
This place is either too lazy or too clueless to work the dough enough to get anything more than a soggy cracker. 2 stars because I don’t know, it’s got a good location.
Try again Gino
I don’t say this lightly: Gino’s Pizza Bar on Cheshire Bridge Road is the kind of place you drive for on purpose.
I drove from Dawsonville, went through Barrow County/Winder, picked up a friend, and kept rolling just to eat here — and I’d do it again without hesitation.
I’ve been coming to Gino’s on and off for 10–15 years, and this place has never missed. Same quality. Same heart. Same “how is this STILL this good?” energy.
Let’s talk food — because it deserves it:
I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and it was classic, hearty, and done exactly how it should be. Real comfort food. The meatballs are legit, not frozen, not dry, not phoned in.
We got the homemade Alfredo sauce specifically for dipping the garlic knots, and YES — that was the move. The Alfredo is rich, creamy, and clearly house-made. Those garlic knots are next level: real garlic, heavy flavor, soft inside, no shortcuts. Absolute knockout.
My friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, and it was — creamy sauce, tender chicken, and a generous portion that doesn’t play games.
The house salad was fresh and crisp, simple and perfect. The marinara sauce is outstanding — bold, balanced, and addictive. Even the ranch is good, which tells you they care about every single detail, not just the pizza.
And speaking of pizza…
The pizzas are HUGE, old-school New York style, thick where it counts, loaded with toppings, and absolutely beautiful sitting in the case. You can literally see the quality before you order. This is pizza that stops you mid-sentence.
What really sets Gino’s apart is the people.
This is a family-owned Georgia business, and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Amanda — warm, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they’ve built. That pride shows in the food and the vibe.
This isn’t trendy food.
This isn’t hype food.
This is real Atlanta pizza history, done right, year after year.
If you’re in Georgia and haven’t been here yet — fix that.
If you have been here — you already know.
10 out of 5 stars. Worth the drive. Worth the hype. Worth every single bite.
But the flavor of the pizza was great lots of toppings and a flavorful base dough. The desserts were good too we got the carrot cake and the strawberry cheesecake. The carrot cake was light and has the perfect combination of mix-ins and cream cheese frosting between the layers.
The cheesecake could’ve been a bit better the flavor wasn’t has cream cheese forward to be honest but it tasted good otherwise.
Will definitely come back out next time I’m in the area
