UPDATE! Instead of repeating over how many “years” you have been in the same location which isn’t a flex, APOLOGIZE to the consumers in which your service and food Sucks! I have been reviewing for years and most are favorable but when you attempt to feed me bugs and then follow-up with venomous commentary that’s when I say you deserve what you SERVE! BEWARE OF THE FAKE REVIEWS…FOR YOU MAY END UP EATING BUGS!!!!!!!This would be the first and last time we order anything from here. We ordered from here “to-go” pasta and salad. Bless the Lord we separated the food. There was an insect in the fetal position next to the lettuce and tomatoes. I gagged in my MOUTH. It’s a sad time when you can’t try new small local businesses in this day and time. I didn’t request a refund because I charge it to fate but I have to warn the public eat here at your own risk.

I researched this small family owned business and decided to go with them based on the fact that they are an authentic Italian family who started this business and the same family cont to run this place. Since it was just myself, I decided to do takeout, which I’m not fond of to accurately evaluate pizza as I like to eat it fresh out of the oven but since my drive was short, I decided to take out a medium cheese pizza to try it out. The pizza had good flavor with the undercarriage that wasn’t too raw/floppy as well as overcooked with char creating a crispy undercarriage. I love the fact that there was plenty of cheese. The Pizza had great flavor and I would return again to try other varieties and some of their other dishes as well.

I have been going to Gino’s for 15 years and the restaurant is always very clean, the staff is great and super hospitable, and the PIZZA is absolutely DELICIOUS, and consistently on point!! An additional, fun part of the pizza experience is you can socialize with the friendly staff as you literally watch them make the pies!! I have always enjoyed the fresh ingredients, and the miracle marinara sauce that has never been beaten!! And of course, I truly enjoy the energy of the family-owned pizza parlor and why I and my friends and family keep going back!!

The service was friendly but a bit slow given we were the only customers in the building. The pizza was solid, standard New York Style pizza. The eggplant dish was a bit overloaded with cheese. For some it is a plus but not for me. Otherwise it had great flavor. The salad was a good house salad lots of different veggies. The thing that makes this review a 3 star instead of a 4 star was a noticeable noxious odor that permeated the entire building. I am not sure of the source or cause but it was foul.

This did not deserve 5 stars, but there was no 10 star rating to give!! Absolutely delicious. I requested lite on the cheese on both the stromboli and the eggplant Parmigiano and both were absolutely perfect (for my preference). The stromboli (size S) was so perfectly light and airy, not heavy like so many. Toppings were generous. Eggplant was phenomenal, and I’m very hesitant about ordering eggplant as I find it’s usually always greasy, flavorless, or just a small piece on top of a lb of pasta. You do get a hefty serving of pasta, but also a 3-4 HUGE layer of eggplant! Kudos to the chef, this was better than I’ve had in some high end Italian eateries. Also, comes w/a serving of garlic knots and a garden salad with your entrée, so you will not be left hungry!

I’ve been coming to Gino’s Pizza on Tampa Road for years, and it’s hands-down the best New York–style pizza in the area. You can taste the tradition in every slice from the crispy, foldable cheese slice to their signature Grandma and Sicilian pies. The sauce has that real Italian flavor that you just don’t find anywhere else, and you can tell it’s made from a family recipe passed down through generations. The dough is always light and airy with a perfect char, and the toppings are fresh and balanced. The staff is super friendly, and the owner always greets customers like family. You can feel the pride and passion behind everything they serve, whether you grab a slice for lunch or a full pie for dinner. The place has that classic neighborhood pizzeria vibe clean, comfortable, and full of energy. If you want authentic New York pizza in Florida, Gino’s is the real deal.

Do not eat here. Walk in a see a girl who is making the pizza. Her hair is hanging down not all of her hair is pulled back. I am a server and all hair needs to be back. To avoid hair falling. It’s like she cared about looking cute more than customers service or something. The bread was not bad but need more flavor. For my taste but still good. Get our pizza and it was really greasy. I grab a pizza and what do I see a hair. I was so gross out. I completely lost my appetite. While my bf and his dad are. And the server ask for refills and he said yes. I was going to get a drink of my coke and she grabbed mine too. I didn’t say I wanted one : but I just looked at it as a miss communication. We will not go back to this place. Please make sure when you are cooking/handling food make sure your hair is properly put back. I see other reviews that this happened to them too find hair in their food.
