Reviews
Since I’ve entered into the world of leaving food reviews there have been moments where I’ve visited eateries, and the customer service is so amazing that I simply fall in love with the genuineness of the staff. This was absolutely one of those moments. Everyone and I do mean everyone (including the owner)that worked here was simply outstanding!
Gino’s felt like the type of place you go to and kick back with a group of friends, share laughs, eat, and drink at an amazing price point all while being served with a smile and taking in the sights of the owners fabulous kimono! And baby, I do mean FABULOUS!!!
This was a solo lunch date for me, and being in this space with these wonderful people made me feel very welcomed and not awkward for dining alone.
If you’re ever in the Fayetteville area, definitely check them out.
Things to note:
•Gino’s is located in a “strip mall.” Parking is free, but there are other businesses that also occupy the lot.
•Gino’s offers bar seating and high top seating as well as a few regular tables and outdoor seating.
•The indoor space is not large, but they definitely make good use of the area and provide as much seating as possible.
As mentioned in the highlight, the customer service is spectacular & the value is great!
Got the black and blue with bacon and cherry peppers and every ingredient felt cared for. It’s not often you find a place that treats greasy late night eats with this much attention but that cross section is where joy lives.
Staff were all super friendly and it seems like the perfect place to grab a drink. Plenty of parking too.
In my experience they had a to go order ready to roll in under ten minutes so a really viable quick eats option.
First off, the food—wow. The cheesesteaks were hot, fresh, and served on bread so good it deserves its own fan club. The cherry peppers were spicy, just how I like them. The fries? Perfectly crispy, the kind that make you reconsider every soggy fry you’ve ever tolerated in your life. They’re psoriasis fries, the best type. (If you know you know) The portions were generous, so you definitely won’t leave feeling like you need second dinner.
The decor inside was fun and inviting, but the real stars of the show were the staff. They were kind, funny, and made me feel like I was part of their cheesesteak-loving family. Honestly, I’d go back just to hang out with them.
Try the Fireman (hot) sub. :chefskiss:
Gino’s is located in a nondescript track mall you’d find anywhere. Arrived just after opening, and already three people sitting at the bar. The place was constantly busy.
Ordered the lunch special; cheesesteak with peppers, fries, and soda. Wow, its a great sandwich! The fries are nothing special, but they provide malt vinegar at the tables.
You may ask yourself, isn’t all ham the same?
You may say to yourself, how could pickles help?
Well, today we stopped by, to answer these questions. First, let me say that texture matters. When you shred ham, there is more surface area to hold bbq sauce to keep from flowing over. The sauce is simply sweet and savory and not overwhelming. This allows the ham to be the hero of this sandwich.
Someone said, “Let’s put pickles on it”, and I was like, maybe not. I ultimately decided, when in Rome…
I was wrong to doubt, pickles was the right move. The dill and crunch are the perfect counterpoint to this piece. There was also a brilliant addition with the onion roll. I can’t think of a thing I would change about this sandwich.
Plenty of parking and super friendly service. As my mom put it, it feels like you’re dining with family. To clarify, we like our family, so that’s a good thing…
BONUS ROUND:
The cookies are amazing. The peanut butter chocolate is lit. The Blueberry Lemon is absolutely divine. Someone slap me, I need to make sure I’m not dreaming.
