A hometown favorite that never disappoints!
Ginny’s Kitchen & Custards has been around forever, and for good reason — everything here is amazing! My boyfriend grew up coming here, and when he introduced me a few years ago, I instantly understood why it’s such a staple.
Their frozen custard is absolutely delicious — creamy, rich, and always the perfect treat. But don’t skip the food either — everything we’ve tried has been great! The staff are always so sweet, and they somehow stay super fast and friendly even when the place is absolutely packed.
There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, so it’s great for any weather or mood. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch or just a sweet treat, Ginny’s is one of those local gems that makes you feel right at home every time.

I had the chef salad and my husband had the western double burger with loaded home fries. We then had the banana split for desert. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and the banana split was the best. I would highly recommend stopping in. Its a little place not far off the highway with lots of seating indoor and out with a hometown feeling.

It’s been many, many years. I feel the need to write this review out of pure nostalgia. Long story, short, my late mother (rest her soul) would sometimes surprise me with a Ginny’s Caramel shake as an after school treat in the mid-90s. I was a student at Freer elementary back in the day (in my 30s now, crazy!), and this always felt like such a huge reward. I miss her dearly, and someday I may get another chance to swing by Ginny’s for a walk down memory lane. If the owner(s) see this, thank you so much for a core memory of my childhood.

Late afternoon lunch, arrived around 3:00 pm. They were still busy with at least a dozen people in and out.
Order when you walk in and the employee was very polite. The kitchen, which you can see while ordering looked clean – that’s important.
Fairly extensive menu for what is basically a burger joint. The double cheese burger with fries came out steamy hot and a generous amount of pickle, onion, etc… Plenty of FF with this order
The jalapeno burger actually had jalapenos that you could taste. It was very good. The burger pattie is almost larger than the bun.
The chocolate shake was delicious.
I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back to try other items.

I will go here from now on instead of a fast food chain! I know the food is good quality and this is a family owned business and I am willing to bet, they are not using bioengineered ingredients! Who knows what’s in the fast food we are being poisoned with! We all know we are taking a risk of eating God knows what in these supposed 100% ground beef patties…

This place is phenomenal! Amazing food and customer service. I had the double cheeseburger with fries and a shake. I stopped here on a lunch break, and the food was prepared quickly. I will definitely recommend this to my family and friends!

My husband and I went for lunch during the week. It was a great value for the price and the waffle fries were superb! The service was a little lacking as the girl who took our order did not tell me I would need the top part of our ticket for the order number, she just left it on the counter without saying anything. There was a long wait for food as there were 6 orders ahead of us.

I can’t recommend this place. The manager, Ginny, was yelling at her teenage employees the entire time I was there. If you’re only going to hire teens, at least take the time to train them properly instead of shouting at them.
The dining area wasn’t clean either — there was a big milkshake spill under a table the whole time I ate, and plenty of dirty spots on the floor.
After an eight-hour shift, I just wanted a good meal. I ordered a double burger with bacon, two onion rings and BBQ sauce on the burger, plus waffle fries. What I got was disappointing — the fries were burnt, and my burger was missing both the bacon and the onion rings.
