Cute little place, but service left something to be desired. We ordered coffee, and three of us heard the order correctly. However, the waitstaff told us that one of the people in our party did not order a drink cold when she brought the drink hot. We said no big deal, but she did order it cold, and she again said no, she didn’t. We said we would like a cold maciatto. She took the drink, brought it to the counter, put it in a plastic cup with ice cubes, and said, “Here. I had ordered Tomato Basil soup, but it was basically watered down crushed tomatoes. It was lacking in taste. To top it all off, I was almost overcharged. The cinnamon roll was sweet.

I rarely post reviews, but thought spare someone else?
First time visit. Ordered bowl of white bean chicken chili that tasted sour? I even mentioned to waitress, and was told it was supposed to taste sour? I tried doctoring with barbecue sauce to sweeten, but gave up and did not eat. I was offered different soup, but took a pass. Still charged for bad soup.
Husband ordered turkey panini, which was okay.
I still have sour stomach from bad soup and no plans to return.
I was not going to tip, but husband left undeserving tip IMO stating, “I guess $20 panini.”
Merry Christmas!

The workers were extremely accommodating although we rode our bikes in right after the kitchen was closed. The ambience was old school and fantastic, the reuben was fantastic, and the homemade phosphate sodas were unique and delicious. We rode into Sparta, later than expected, without lunch plans and this place exceeded all expectations. Even though I live hours away, I will make it a point to return!

The sandwiches and soup were fantastic! My friends said the coffee was also really good. My chai tea latte needed more as it was very diluted but the flavor was good.

Great sandwich, bread was fresh and moist. Service was prompt and my food came out quickly. They also have Chocolate Shoppe ice cream, so that is a plus! Lots of coffee options, though I didn’t try any. Prices were as to be expected for a quaint little sandwich shop (~$7 for chips and sandwich).

The two of us enjoyed panini sandwiches for lunch. Their sauces on the panini is what makes them especially good. We also ordered a latte and root beer float, and they were good too. The waitress was possibly the best part. She gave recommendations, checked on us, and provided prompt service.
The atmosphere of an old soda shop counter and the old toys in our section were also quite charming.
Stop in and relax.

It’s been probably ten years since I’ve been here, but I just had a vivid flashback of the delicious quiche with all the fruit on the side. Their lattes were no slouch either! If I can ever find my way back to Sparta this will be my very first stop.

I had the potato soup. It was very good, but I could tell it had been microwaved. The potatoes were luke warm in spots and others were scaulding hot. Two gals were working the counter and tables, and they were very friendly and fast.

Almost used the window addition outside, the weather was calling for it. We came in about five min to close, so that’s not great of us. Was interested in the espresso that’s mentioned on the billboard in Fort. Didn’t end up trying it but did have a cold brew that I did not find to be particularly good. Interested to try that bag of WI bike-themed coffee though some time – is that served in house? Will be back to try espresso and hot brewed coffee, I’m sure 🙂 Vibes are always on. Server was kind. Forgot to put myself in the guest book, but seems an oddity as a local. Providing a neutral rating kind of out of loyalty and the sociability in addition to environment because those were all positives even when the product was 2star :/ I am always quick to recommend your ice cream though, however, I haven’t had it myself in 5+ years, eek
