I love this food, spoke to the owner and let me tell you her food is made with love and with tons of amazing seasonings. I was so impressed the casava was delicious. Very beautiful location in woodbridge for dinning and found out there is a manassas. I heard there doing a valentines day special with dj and music and food.

If i could give zero stars I would- staff was unhelpful and rolled their eyes at us when we would ask questions. I inquired about coffee and was told to go look at the menu outside because she didn’t know any of the names of the coffee. When I couldn’t find the info I asked for help and she snapped “What kind of coffee? Do you want milk?” I said nvm on the coffee. We waited almost an hour to get our food due to no sense of urgency. In what food setting is it acceptable to wait almost an hour to get your food? Will never be coming back here again and by the looks of the emptiness in the restaurant today + other reviews this isn’t an isolated incident. Do not spend your hard earned money or precious time here please.

a hit or miss. the first time i ate here the food was good. i got cassava leaves and fish and another with beef. the beef is always hard. then the last two times it just got worse each time. the okra had hard stems in it made it hard to eat. the cassava leaves were so bland no taste and not the consistency it’s supposed to be. the only thing i enjoyed a bit was the jollof and plantains. I spent $40 plus dollars to be delivered on Uber eats for nothing.

I got curry goat and jolloff rice (medium size). Very flavorful. It’s made to order so there may be a little wait. Definitely recommend.

Ginnies has all the authentic West African dishes, especially Ghanaian and Nigerian popular cuisine well made and very tasty . Coming from Toronto, Canada, I was delighted I could get all local Ghanaian dishes here. Ginnie is a pleasant host who lives to serve all her customers with 5 star service. You can order ahead, pick up, dine-in, or order delivery to your location through the Doordash app.
Ginnie is a must visit for all foodies if ever you’re in the Manassas, VA area.

We needed a quick lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and decided to try Ginnie’s. We try to support local and family owned whenever we can. We put in a pretty big order for takeout, and it was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The staff were very kind and courteous. We don’t have a lot of experience with African food, but we loved it! We had the yam fufu, okro soup, jollof rice one w beef & one w chicken, and the peas and plantains. The portions were enormous! We had way more food than we anticipated, but that’s ok because we will happily eat the rest for dinner. We will definitely be eating here again, thank you Ginnie!
