Great place to grab breakfast and they have plenty of options for anything you want. We ordered a few options because we like trying different things. Their Denver Omelette was good but the potatoes they come with are amazing. The pancake was great and the biscuits you get are also great. Their gravy on the biscuits and gravy is a different. I am not a fan of the texture of the gravy, it might have been the sausage they use. It might be for you so try it if you want.

Always fast and friendly, calm and relaxed environment, and most importantly some absolutely delicious breakfast. We always get the french toast with berry compote on top and share a biscuits and gravy. This is our favorite breakfast spot when we’re feeling like french toast and highly recommend it.

If you haven’t been here yet put it on your list of places to try.

I got a crab omlete with no cheese sub a side of fruit. The service from Andrea was exceptional! However the food was not the best. Living in FL the crab that they said was fresh tasted weird and when I ate the fruit I realized it was frozen. I asked my services she said it was. I was disappointed as at any breakfast place I’ve ever eaten at. The fruit is always fresh! I gave it to my server she took it away and we still paid the up charge for the bowl of fruit. The food was disappointing for my first time at ginger sues.

We always love Ginger Sue’s. The service is always great. The food is always great… but our take out today was terrible. I ordered French toast and it tasted like bread. Just bread. No delicious custard on the outside. Dry bread. When I called to tell the manager she said “thanks for letting us know. Have a good day. “. Very disappointing.

Found this place online while passing through and thought we’d give it a try, and so glad we did! Carrot cake pancake special was amazing, and the ham and cheese omelette was awesome. Big fluffy (and stuffed) omelette with tasty biscuit and perfect potatoes – the potatoes were cooked perfectly and so tasty! Staff was friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was clean and comfy to sit and eat a nice breakfast. Best of all was the price, under $25 for two adults, full breakfast with drinks etc. Will absolutely stop here again!

Little brunch date with my wife, got the crab benedict she got the west coast omelet and we split the Belgium waffle… highly recommend all of that!! The specialty coffees are also fantastic and the service we got while here was top notch! We will be back and this may be our new breakfast spot!

Oh my goodness! This was our first visit to Ginger Sues and WOW! We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed everything about our visit and the food was absolutely amazing!
Update: since my initial review, we have been here several times and have been very pleased everytime! Even with a staff shortage, the service was great and friendly! Even though the servers are doing 3 jobs, they still show a smile and have a good attitude!

My first experience at a Ginger Sue’s was in Liberty probably 15 years ago. Since I live in Overland Park, I was excited to see that there’s one much closer in Olathe. My experience way back then was great and I was hoping it would still be.
I was not disappointed! Everything from our great, helpful attentive server, Cody, to the food was the best! They have an Hawaiian style omelette that I was intrigued by when I visited in Liberty and they still have it. It has the somewhat unusual combination of ham, pineapple, cheese and a little bit of toasted coconut in an omelet. It is completely yummy. I try to watch my sodium so I inquired about the seasoned potatoes and learned I could request them without seasoning. They were great. And the biscuit, I’ve been thinking about it and I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a better biscuit in my life. Seriously. And my sweetheart, John, who doesn’t actually like biscuits tried it and said, “that is great!” I feel that the prices were certainly reasonable for the amount of food that you got (I had a to-go box with essentially half of what I ordered to take home-it was great reheated too) and the quality. I would be very remiss not to also mention the wonderful pumpkin spice latte! Generous serving and it had great coffee flavor and just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Not an overly syrupy drink like you get at some places where they’re trying to hide the burnt coffee flavor. This was lovely. The restaurant has a nice light atmosphere with a cheerful ambience. Highly recommend! Not the best photo as I should have taken one before I started eating. However, that is the amount that I did take home with me!

Had quite a nice weekday brunch experience. Plenty of staple breakfast dishes with some flair mixed in, and be sure to check the rotating seasonal menu, where I spotted the vanilla almond milk cold brew coffee. Ask for the day’s quiche and soup. The Denver Omelette, potatoes, and rye toast were hearty and pleasantly tame on greasiness. No post-brunch nap needed to sleep off a belly bomb!

The vibe isn’t exactly cozy, but it’s welcoming in a suburban-downhome-cafe sort of way. Arrived just before noon and got a table right away. Good for groups, can pull tables together if needed, and there’s still space enough between individual tables to comfortably move through the dining room. All of the staff were very nice and attentive to our table, even as we lingered a few minutes past closing. Gender-neutral restroom was clean. Not sure if this is a must-try restaurant, but I’d be happy to come back anytime to try more of the menu with friends, family, or coworkers.
