If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Pasadena without the “luxury” markup, this is the place. My partner has been coming here for years, and now I see why.

The Highlights:
– Authentic Pho: Unlike other places nearby that use the wrong noodles, the Beef Pho here is the real deal with proper rice vermicelli and an incredible, rich broth.
– Great Value: You can get a huge bowl of soup or a rice plate for around $14–$15, which is unbeatable for this area.
– Fresh Options: The Grilled Pork Salad and Fresh Spring Rolls were crisp and flavorful.
– Dietary Friendly: They have a dedicated Vegetarian Broth and plenty of tofu options, plus a surprisingly huge menu that even includes American breakfast and burgers (great if you have picky eaters in your group!). I am sensitive to peanuts, a common staple in Vietnamese, and it was nice there were options for sauces.

Service: Fast and super friendly family-run vibe. It can get warm inside, so I recommend grabbing one of the tables outside on the sidewalk to watch the Colorado Blvd traffic.
Highly recommend for a casual weeknight dinner or quick lunch!

My team and I were looking for a place to eat for lunch after a conference and decided to make our way here. I got a teriyaki beef bowl and the portions were just right. It was flavorful.

Great restaurant with nice selection of dishes. Pulled pork sand-which had a bit of spice to it that was a nice surprise.

First off, this place needs a serious cleaning. Floors are sticky, seats are torn, dust everywhere! Everything white is dirty. Food was meh. I ordered pork chops poate and what they brought me was 1 thin porkchop. They sliced it up without my permission to spread it out and make it look like a lot. Totally not worth the money and the flavors were ok. Nothing special to make me return and spend over$30. Be

If I can describe in three words tasty, healthy, filling. I got the bun bo hue and the classic banh mi. It was a comfortable space while eating there no complaints great spot.

We stopped by Ginger Spice and Noodle after a fun morning right next door at the Southern California Children’s Museum — and it was exactly what we needed!

The staff was kind and welcoming, even with two slightly tired, slightly wild kiddos in tow. The food came out quickly, which we really appreciated, and everything was delicious.

The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and casual — a great little escape after the energy of the museum. It’s rare to find a spot that works so well for both adults and kids, but this one nailed it.

Definitely adding Ginger Spice and Noodle to our list of go-to places whenever we’re in Pasadena. Bonus points for being just steps away from the museum entrance!

Found this place while strolling Pasadena on a Saturday. It is family owned and the owners are very nice, service is fast too. Decided to dine in and ordered pho, fried rice, shrimp spring rolls, and the mango boba tea. The pho was delicious, it has a good authentic flavor and could feed 2 people. The spring rolls were okay, not bad not extra food. But they were nice and fresh. The peanut sauce that came with it is amazingly good. It has a tiny spicy kick to it.
The mango boba tea was good as well.
The chicken fried rice is a good huge portion.
Definitely will be coming back.

Good service, not operated by all Vietnamese even though a Vietnam restaurant. Food is good, however the Pho noodle and the meat is kinda too thin. Good taste but no where near the original taste. Cozy and warming setting.
If you’re not Vietnamese, worth trying since pretty good price; otherwise, should find a place with more original taste.

Cozy hole in the wall family business :0)

Lots of things to choose from on the menu!

Cute kid drawings on the wall (there was one of minecraft characters and someone getting stabbed lol).

The football game was also playing on the tv above. So I could see sports fans appreciating it!

The food was delicious! But I feel the meat portion was stingy. Barely any meat to match the rice. I understand we get two options to go with the rice but it was not proportionate. Therefore they get 4 stars from me.
