We had one of the best meals we have had in years. Stephanie was the most attentive waitress we have ever had, she payed attention to every detail. Zach the assistant manager was knowledgeable and delightful
Then the food! Wow! We had amazing fresh shrimp gnocchi and the tiramisu was worth every calorie.
Gina’s is now one of my favorites when visiting our son!

I recently had the distinct pleasure of dining at Gina’s Italian Restaurant, and the experience was nothing short of superlative. From a gastronomic perspective, the cuisine was prepared with exquisite precision; each dish showcased a harmonious balance of authentic flavors and artisanal quality that truly delighted the palate.
What truly distinguished this visit, however, was the impeccable leadership demonstrated by the Restaurant Manager, Carlos Estevez. Despite the establishment operating at peak capacity with a relentless influx of patrons, Mr. Estevez maintained a demeanor of unflappable professionalism. He navigated the logistical complexities of a bustling evening with remarkable grace, ensuring that every guest felt prioritized and valued.

Today we discovered a gem. We recently moved to SLO and have been exploring new places to dine. We happened upon Gina’s and chose the Lasagna and Capellini Pomodoro for lunch. Two simple dishes to measure the authenticity of an Italian restaurant. And, wow, a total winner. The homemade bread, the sauces, the homemade pasta. Real deal. Then came the Tiramisu. My wife voted that the best ever, including our visits to Italy. You could taste the love in Luis’s cooking. Stephanie made the entire experience a memorable moment. What a find. The kind of place that will become our go to from here on.

Loved the food. Atmosphere was warm and clean. Management and servers could be a little more “friendly”. They know and communicate they are a premier restaurant. Good and could be bad. I ordered the chicken Marsala with no added salt. It was excellent.

We had lunch here with our grandchildren. They said they did have a kids’ menu, but no kids menus. We ordered the kids a pepperoni pizza and fries. The fries were hot and tasty and they ate way more pizza than usual so it must have been good too.

I had the Linguine with Clams and it was fantastic, I would highly recommend trying it.

My wife ordered the salmon salad and asked for the dressing on the side. They gave her dressing on the side but also completely doused the salad with dressing. There were only three other people in the restaurant, but the service wasn’t great either. We had to ask for water several times, for example.

I would definitely try it again but my wife is soured on the place.

No food pics here, and definitely not anything to write home about. There is probably a good reason there was no wait on a Saturday night. That should have been our first clue. Our food was actually terrible and not just one of our meals, we were a party four.

Soup was tasteless, and the salad was so overdressed it was swimming. Salmon was chewy, and the chicken parmesan was just so so. Definitely not something to write home about and definitely not worth dining out on a Saturday night.
Service wise we had to ask twice for one glass of Chianti which didn’t come until into our meal when it was ordered first. Granted that could just be human error. It was just not great. We will not go there again.

I had a sweet tooth and I DoorDashed a cannoli and a tiramisu, and it was literally the best decision I ever made in my life. It was the best cannoli best tiramisu I’ve ever had. I need to go back and eat there when I am in the area again very impressed. Love the touch of the blueberries too.

The service was great. However , the food was just some of the tasteless Italian food I have ever had. The Tuscan chicken was flavorless. The chicken was tough on one side and I couldn’t cut it with my sharp knife. There was just no taste, it was as if there was no seasoning of any kind.
My friend had the shrimp/lobster raviolis and said they were ok.
Probably the one good thing was the pumpkin cheesecake.
I hate to leave a review like this but it has made me never want to return.

We arrived around 7:00 pm without a reservation. Although they were busy and a bit rushed, we were seated within about 10 minutes. The service was outstanding—our kids’ meals came out quickly, and our dinner was absolutely delicious.
