First timer ordered seafood fried rice and chicken cheese steak egg rolls. Spent 35$ definitely worth every penny enough food for 2 to 3 people food was cooked to order fresh and hot.

I went to Normandy Beach Yacht Club this evening excited to try a hibachi food truck since I love hibachi. I was told ahead to expect a 45 minute wait which was fine. The wait ended up being longer than expected, and being told repeatedly to come back 15 minutes later. I also heard from others and not from the truck that they were running out of items and just substituting without telling me which I didn’t appreciate – maybe I want a refund instead of a replacement. I ordered steak, vegetables and noodles and was given rice in place of noodles and no vegetables. When I finally got my food 1 hour and 15 minutes later, the steak was way overcooked.
Overall a bad experience for my family – we went home hungry as most did not finish the food they were served – the lobster and chicken that was substituted for steak and scallops honestly looked completely unappealing and was very salty with too much soy sauce according to them

Why Not?
My recent experience with Gimmie Hibachi food truck left me extremely dissatisfied. I encountered a serious issue where I was charged twice for my order, yet despite their assurance that the payment hadn’t gone through despite me telling them it did. I still had to resend it. To make matters worse, when I contacted them a week later to address the overcharge, I was met with unprofessionalism and excuses.
Initially, they promised to refund the extra charge when they had time. However, despite their assurances, they became unresponsive to my calls, often hanging up on me when I tried to discuss the issue. Their excuse that they were “under the weather” and couldn’t process the refund promptly was unconvincing, especially considering the lack of communication and professionalism displayed.
Their statement that they weren’t “ducking me over $13” contradicted their actions, as they continued to delay sending the refund. It took blocking their number to finally get a response, which is unacceptable customer service.
Overall, my experience with Gimmie Hibachi food truck was marred by double charging, unfulfilled promises, and a lack of professionalism. I would caution others to be wary when dealing with this establishment, as their handling of financial matters and customer service leaves much to be desired.

My daughter saw this truck and was so excited. We ordered chicken and noodles and was told to return in 15 mins. 30 mins later we were still waiting as were others who ordered before us. An older woman asked if the food was done and the self proclaimed owner was really rude and unprofessional literally screaming at her that he is by himself and she should just leave so she did. Then 5 mins later told us all he had to change the propane tank. I politely asked if my food was almost ready and he hung out the window screaming at me condescendingly I TOLD YOU I NEED TO CHANGE THE PROPANE TANK!!!! I replied OK sorry I ordered 35 mins ago I was just asking . He told me to just leave then. I hadn’t paid yet so I started walking away and he hung out the window screaming at me as I walked away as well as all his other customers that were waiting. Went to the empendada guy across the way who was respectful professional and had my food in 5 mins.

I was at the Normandy beach yacht club and we decided to eat here in this food truck. I ordered scallops with noodles and vegetables and somehow they replaced my noodles with fried rice, didn’t give me vegetables and gave me steak. They also afterwards quickly ran out of shrimp steak noodles vegetables scallops and more. They also offered no refund.

My first time trying this place was at the Fall Food Truck Festival at Laurita Winery! I waited in line for almost a hr before even being addressed or my order being taken, I gave them the benefit of doubt and choose to wait, finally a lady took my order, I was told 15 min ok fine that’s reasonable. Well 45 more minutes had past and still no food! A total of 1hr and 45 min… the lady then decided to give me a free drink and a free water for the inconvenience, about 15 more min still no food! I was then offered 1/2 my money back and still get the meal! At this point I was extremely upset and no longer wanted the food! I was then given both of my orders only to be given the wrong order and noodles instead of rice! Hopefully they take this as a lesson and be more prepared for a festival as big as the one they were at! I probably would never try them again.

I was excited to order from this truck at Monmouth county fair and what a disaster.
Took 30 plus mins to get my food and it was a couple pieces of beef on top of plain rice barely coated in some kind of sauce, not even mixed properly.
Chunks of salt not evenly scattered.
Save your money and dont eat from this truck.
Not Hibachi, its trashbachi.
Aside from the couple fake good reviews im not the only one who feels this way.

Went to their food truck parked in Seastreak Sandbox on Tuesday August 1 2003. To say it was horrible would be kind. Took my order didn’t take my name or give me a number, told me to come back in 15 minutes. Came back and it was clear they lost my order and everyone else’s. Waited another 20 minutes for my food. Ordered 3 things got 4 none of which we ordered. Everything was same Rice with soy sauce one piece of broccoli three slices of mushrooms. One had about 3 tablespoons of chopped chicken. Wife looked at it and said I’m going to the pizza truck, our friend said get me one. We ordered 3 pizzas and chucked gimme’s food.

The food is honestly amazing. Everything is always fresh no matter what. Good selection of food to choose from, they even have lobster lol. I ate from the truck a few times & each time was so good. Never a disappointment . New items are always getting added to the menu so it’s like it just gets better and better each time I visit. I would definitely recommend everyone try this food truck
