I guess it’s kind of a “dive” bar, which isn’t a bad thing. Yeah, that’s what it is and it’s got the distinction of being a gem of a dive bar because it’s old, but not smelly, unpretentious, but comfortable, rustic, and functional. Here’s the best part…..the food is OUTSTANDING!! I ordered the ribeye dinner. The steak was perfect in every way, cooked exactly as I asked for, the asparagus was fresh and not overcooked and roasted potatoes that were very tasty and cut into bite-sized pieces. Drinks are great and staff are down to earth people. Can’t bring the kids, but a great place for a casual adult dinner and drinks. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Amazing food and service, wish I would have came here back in 93 when I moved to Boise. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Boise. The prawns are wonderful, I liked the Ruben and how it came with the dressing on the side but this huge sammich needed like 3 cups of dressing. I could have asked for more but didn’t. I will be back to try the rest of the menu for sure!
