I definitely will be coming back! We had the creamy chicken and rice soup which was soo good! The soup consistency is very thick with pieces of chicken, rice and celery which in my opinion was a perfect balance. The chicken parmesan that I had was amazing, it had a delicious meat sauce and the chicken itself was huge. The portions are big, I definitely needed a box.The burger my husband had was so juicy and the fries were nice and crispy. It was a definite yes from my burger-loving husband.

This is my first time back to Gilmer Road House and my last. They used to have the best fresh ground beef burger I had ever eaten now there are just like any other dive serving frozen burgers for a lot of money. If your are looking for fresh ground meat homemade burgers this is not the place. If you are just looking for something to chew on with no flavor this is your place. Now let’s get to the service, our waitress took our order and that was the last she visited our table until she brought our check, someone else from the kitchen brought us our food. I had to get up 4 times got to the back by the kitchen and ask if someone could locate our waitress and ask her to come by our table. So thumbs down to Gilmer Road House!!!

The pan pizza was excellent. Sauce-great, crust-great, cheese-overflowing. It’s a classic tavern and it’s been at this location forever. Now I see why. They know something about making a great pizza.

Ordered for takeout on a Sunday evening. Order was ready in 15 minutes. Fried cod with baked potato, side salad and Texas garlic toast. Big portion on the fish. Food was nice and hot. Well packaged. Service at the Restaurant was quick and courteous.

First time I have ever been to this place. Pizza is spectacular. Hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. A couple of people were hammered, but they were just drunk, not rude. I loved the thin crust pizza. Best pizza I ever had.
