Always love to plan a bike ride while we’re camping and if it involves a cocktail and some good cooking, it’s a success.
The ride from Lakeside State Park to Oak Orchard Lighthouse was made complete by our delicious dinner at Gilligan’s Galley.
We had the seasonal Apple Cider Margaritas, an Island Chicken Wrap with chips (and zesty sauce) and a house Cheeseburger with mac salad.
Food was delicious, loved the Island Sauce and I was pleasantly surprised by the chips – served hot and crispy.
They were very welcoming of us on our e-bikes, as well as our two puppers who ride along – comfortable outdoor seating at picnic tables and high tops.
Service was outstanding, recommended experience! 10/10 ️

We are now regulars. They have the best fish fries around. Big piece of fish, great crispy fries, Mac salad is great, homemade chips are great. My husband likes the shrimp tacos and the fajitas are excellent. Service is fast and friendly. Tom, the cook, does a great job (and his kitchen staff)…fantastic cook!!! My son is a regular also. He says they have the best hamburgers around. Also, the owner and waitresses are all so friendly. Thank you Gilligan’s Galley!

Best place to grab lunch or dinner in the area! Friendly and fast service. Menu had a great selection of options including 2 vegetarian options! I would recommend checking out and supporting this small business! Given the quality of everything prices were more than fair.

Such a cute little place up near the lake, it’s very homey and warm and welcoming! Immediately when you walk in you feel welcome and it smells so good, by far one of the nicest little restaurants in Orleans County! The food is delicious I got a cheeseburger and it was delicious! I also assume the other items on the menu are just as good! Will definitely come back again someday!

Excellent food and service. Well worth going a little out of the way to find this little treasure. Their soup of the day, pea and ham, was seasoned in a way that made it one of the best we’ve ever had. The burger of the day, a southwestern burger, was fun and delicious, as well as the chicken Quesada from the regular menu. In addition, a substantial adult drinks list to pull from. All provided at a most reasonable price.

Consistency Is Everything! –
We have probably been there close to 10 times over the last 2 years.
It is clean, cozy, and very cutely decorated. We always get a booth and feel comfortable there. They do have a couple of TVs but we have mostly noticed Sports playing, and thankfully not news, and the TVs are not too loud. It’s relaxing yet fun there, and it’s very close to the lake which makes it nice for a day trip destination.
Each and every time we have had such polite, kind and attentive service. They come to your table immediately, and somehow the food also comes out very quickly. They are sure to check on you throughout your meal. All this being said we are most happy when we stick to and order off the regular menu – salads, sandwiches, tacos, wraps, etc.
The prices are average but the serving sizes are not huge, so you might like an appetizer, or add a side, or add dessert. The homemade cheesecakes are wonderful and almost fluffy, not as heavy as most. Personally, when we have ventured away from the menu and tried some of the specials for dinners we haven’t liked them quite as well as the staple items on the regular menu. Those never disappoint.
My advice – try something (like the tacos) that has the incredibly delicious Island sauce.

Nice little joint near the lake for a quick bite in a laid back atmosphere. Staff is quick and attentive. Menu offerings are average fare but made well. Patty melt was delish. They could improve on the fish sandwich though. A bit expensive for a small triangle of frozen fish patty.

Stopped in on a whim when the restaurant down the street closed their patio overlooking the river/lake on Saturdays. So glad we did! This is a sit anywhere you can find place with table service. Cute, local vibe with plenty to choose from. Awesome prices and good portions. You dont find that often now! Everyone seemed to know everyone, nice vibe. The trio of tacos, chicken left a lot to be desired but the fish and shrimp were tasty.
