The City of Wyoming does a great job plowing – so the nice clear lot around back had a path to the front door. This is a new favorite spot. Can’t wait to see what next month’s Hand Held is… maybe Tim will reveal a sneak peak. The beer here is so tasty, and tastes like… beer. This is a family friendly place, in case you want to bring them. Great location! Kelly and Tim, we will see you next time! (Maybe this week!)
It was self seating and you have to order your food at the bar then bus your own table.
When you walk in, there is a large foyer with tons of wasted space and no ambience or a host/hostess. On the left, there is a huge room with a total 80’s country club vibe. On the right, there is a dark bar area with concrete floors and and a weird “we’re trying to make this a bar space” vibe. I made reservations, but when we walked in, there was no one to greet us, and we certainly didn’t want to sit on the left side, so we made ourselves comfortable at a high-top in the bar.
Our server was grouchy at first, but then came around and you would think she was our best friend. As a matter of fact, she was so casual that I thought it unprofessional. However, we appreciated her friendliness and she did give us attentive service.
The food…..first of all, everything was WAY over seasoned. It’s like Lawry’s salt was sprinkled too heavily. That said, the mussels were meaty and cooked well. We would have preferred a white wine sauce other than a tomato soup sauce. The grilled buffalo chicken sandwich and the burger were great. The grilled chicken dish over vegetables was very good. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly – very moist and tender. The Reuben rolls were good, but they needed more cheese and sauerkraut. They are the exact same ones they have at Dingle House. The best thing we had all night were the onion rings and fries. The fries are coated and were so crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Our server told us that there was a new chef that has only been there one week.
The best part of the ambiance were the bathrooms. They are updated, clean, and bright.
They would need to up their game on many levels for us to return.
