Amazing local spot with great food & vibe!

Stopped by Gilberto’s Mexican Taco Shop and absolutely loved it. The place has a cozy, authentic feel with vibrant decor and a relaxed indoor and outdoor seating area. Perfect for a quick bite or a chill meal with a view.

The food was — portions were generous and super flavorful. The chicken dish was fresh and well seasoned, the rice and beans were spot on, and the sauces they have available added the perfect kick. Everything tasted homemade and hearty.

Service was quick, Also loved the outdoor seating with the mountain backdrop — great vibe for a casual meal.

If you’re in the area and want good Mexican food that actually hits the spot, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Our stop here was nothing short of awesome! After seeing it packed full the prior night and reading some reviews, we decided to stop in and were not disappointed.

The staff were super friendly & had no problems explaining how everything worked. It wasn’t long after we sat down before our food arrived, probably the fastest we’ve been served at a restaurant.

My spouse and I each got the Two Taco Platter. We both got to pick our taco flavours, plus it came with a side of rice & refried beans. We plan on visiting Moab a lot in the future for the trails & will be stopping in here again on our next visit!

Some of the best food we ate in Moab was right here. We spent lots of money on other places and had meh service and meh meals. I won’t name names, but some places should be ashamed. Giliberto’s was close and convenient. They have a drive thru and indoor or patio seating. Priced right and plenty of food.

I don’t get why this place has such good reviews. This is some of the blandest food I’ve ever had, especially for Mexican food. The marinated chicken looked and tasted unappealing and gross. The beans tasted like they were out of a can, and not even a good brand. Everything is way too expensive for what it is. $14 for what you could get at Taco Bell for less than $5, and it doesn’t taste at all better. I felt queasy as soon as I left the restaurant. I guess if you like flavorless food for too much money, you might like it here.

Great place to get some Mexican food, I highly recommend! I got the Chicharron tacos , which were soooo good and Tripas tacos which were also pretty good. My Girlfriend got the half order of Carne asada fries which she loved very much, and was plenty for one and ngl even for 2 people. So if you’re ever in the area check it out if you’re craving tacos or Carne Asada fries! The only thing that was kinda weird was the location of the restroom which was around the building but honestly it was very clean I was surprised!

We love Gilberto’s! We look forward to it whenever we’re in Moab. Our favorites: civeche tostada, carne asada, chicken tacos, chorizo taco, texano burrito. Portions are generous, flavor is excellent, food is delivered fast!

Absolutely incredible value to food. The speediness of the service was also unreal. The chimichanga was fried to perfection. No more NK less. The seasoning in the meat blended so well with the veggies. It’s well worth it if you’re after a good feed in town. And I’m glad it’s my first Mexican experience here.

I wanna start by saying I have Celiac Disease and I’m writing this review 30 minutes after eating, I have had 0 gluten reaction at this point in time, I may come back and edit it however if that changes.

We came here for the rolled tacos (12 for $16.00) but my family wouldn’t all agree to eat those, due to ingredients. They do have this deal, however they only come with guacamole and cheese. So if your looking for a budget meal, and your family would try that, it’s a good deal. However, for 3 tacos each (15) and 4 fountain drinks it was $80.00, 2 of us had water.

Out of our budget but decided to give it a go- because it’s advertised as “authentic.”

Unfortunately I cannot give this restaurant a good review. The hard shell Tacos were good shells, however the meat had absolutely
no flavor lol

When I say no flavor I mean like it seemed as if they forgot to season the meat all together. I did not ask the restaurant about that at all but it was super disappointing. And sour cream was an additional $1.75 per side which is pretty expensive considering I come from New York where sour cream is $2.75 per large container.

By way of atmosphere, nice indoor and outdoor seating is available. It’s 108 today in Moab however so we will not be eatting outside anywhere.
