Basic counter-serve spot in a strip mall offering tacos & familiar Mexican eats plus soft drinks.

Super quick, easy, and delicious lunch stop! Drive-thru and pick-up counter both allow for quick transactions, but I’m still getting something with more substance than a traditional fast food place. Employees do their job, and that’s about it, but I’m not going to demand more.

I eat at Gilberto’s regularly. The food here is very on par for the price. I wouldn’t say it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had but it’s definitely better than average. I think one of the best features of this restaurant is that they are open most hours of the day laid into the evening and early morning. If you want a few quick tacos and you don’t like Taco Bell, this is the place to go. I really enjoy eating here. I also very much love their salsa Verde, But don’t skip out on the spicy salsa if you can handle the heat.

I walk up to place order and cashier was very unpleasant. Then she and other employees kept laughing? I ordered my food and she points to salsa being out in restaurants. Steak burrito was tasteless, burnt, and dry. Salsa tasted and smelled like cleaning fluid. I felt very uncomfortable as the cashier never made eye contact with me and was laughing with other staff…at me? Who knows? I can under Spanish, but the music was too loud to hear wheat they were conversing about. Very odd. Very unfriendly. Food horrible. I won’t be back. So disappointed.

I have been to Giliberto’s multiple times and the food is always good. This time I ordered the street corn, one shrimp taco, and two quesabirria tacos. I assumed the quesabirria tacos would come with the dipping sauce like the picture but it did not. All was delicious.

I order the carne asada. So I’m impartial to this dish. They have green and red salsa available. So many options and, in my opinion, very authentic. They do have specials and programs for customers to show kindness to others. Dine-in and drive through and I would recommend to anyone with an appetite for this style of food. The menu is very large but I haven’t explored much of their menu. I just can’t get enough of their carne asada. Delicious!

Being Phoenix born and raised this place is a true taste of home. I grew up eating at Filabertos regularly and this has the same DNA. When I order a carne asada burrito I don’t want it full of filler, rice and beans, I want a steak burrito full of steak. If you want a hefty burrito that ain’t full of fillers this is the spot to hit up! Did I mention they are open 24 hours!

The food was authentic and wonderful. The best Mexican restaurant I’ve eaten at while in town. Service was quick even with a line of cars in the drive thru. Lots to choose from and will definitely be back

This place has great, authentic Mexican food at an affordable price. The interior is pretty basic, but cozy and comfortable. They provide counter service and the food is cooked and presented in a quick, timely manner. There is a salsa bar with a basic selection of salsa and pickled veg. I always order the rolled tacos, which are basically the same as Taquitos. I also get street tacos frequently. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. As an added bonus, there is also a drive through!

Probably the most authentic you can get around here. Thank you for the good food!

This was probably the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had in a while. The chips, taco shells, and tortillas are all homemade. I couldn’t believe it, everything was so freaking tasty. They have a very versatile drink station and an even bigger array of hot sauces. Big portions and good service. I’ll definitely be coming back.
