Started a little slow with service but then picked up with quick delivery of food and beer. Food was decent and right sized portions. I had the Reuben with smoked sausage. Seemed light and overall slow night mid-week but likely is a lively place closer to the weekend. Would go back.

I love their Pilsner; have been drinking it since my Upper West Side days. Their steak sandwich is amazing; one of the best in Charlotte. William, another team member gave me insight into the many quality drafts they serve.

Amazing food, incredible staff and service, fun atmosphere. We loved everything about our first visit! We happened to come on Italian night and had the 3 course chef special and it was incredible. The pretzels and cheeses + mustards were delicious. My husband had the donor kebab wrap and he loved it. The chef even came out and talked to us. Such a fun experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Tried the Wurst flight at Gilde Brewery and it was fantastic, each sausage was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Paired it with their black cherry cider, which was crisp, refreshing, and just the right balance of sweet and tart. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, making it a great place to hang out with friends. Service was friendly and attentive. A must-visit in Charlotte for great German-style food and drinks!

My husband and I have been coming here for awhile now, and it’s one of those places we always find ourselves going back to. We did have one less than perfect experience in the past when there was mold on our pretzel. I normally don’t like to complain (I’ve worked in the food industry and know things happen), but the manager handled it incredibly well and took care of the appetizer and my meal, which we really appreciated.
Fast forward to Oktoberfest they more than redeemed themselves. The beer is amazing, the service is consistently good, the atmosphere is fun, and the food has never tasted better, especially during our visit last weekend.
Since our last visit, they rearranged some of the furniture and added a small game room, which was such a fun touch. After dinner, we played ping pong and then finished our beers sitting in front of the gas fireplace, honestly, the perfect night.
We shared the pretzel bites and both ordered the chicken schnitzel with kraut and spaetzle, and we agreed it was the best we’ve ever had there. Everything came out fresh and piping hot. For beer, we both had the Broyhan’s Bock, which was out of this world, it was so good we bought some to take home.
Needless to say, we love this place and will absolutely keep coming back. PROST!

We had a blast at Gilde while visiting Charlotte. The beers were amazing and with their authentic German beers, it makes you feel like you’re hanging out in Germany! The staff were extremely attentive and kind. They also have darts and other games which were fun to play. I will definitely come back when visiting again!

Arrived Thursday evening around 4ish in town for Run the Jewels. The Brewery had just opened so a few customers but not too busy. I must say the food and the beer were both excellent. The schnitzel was divine and the Bavarian pretzel with the Cheese was amazing and big enough to share, I destroyed that before I could take a picture lol. The sauerkraut was hands down some of the best I have ever had and I understand why this place was so highly rated. The price was 50 for me but that includes a full entree, the appetizer and a couple beers so great value to me. The portion sizes were also very satisfying as I barely finished and had to take the rest home. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who gets a chance to visit and shout-out to Jack for the amazing customer service and his knowledge on the food and Beer. Once again the schnitzel was top tier and came in beef, chicken and veal options. I had the pork. I can tell this will be a great place to watch the World Cup if I am not able to make it next year.

Every single dish is delicious and well crafted.
Very convenient to find seating and beautiful patio area. Authentic decor and a very relaxing environment. Nice place to have a family get together or catch up in conversation with a friend.
My last experience I went to Easter with my mother-in-law. Our waiter, Jacob was so helpful and kind.

Gilde was the perfect rest spot.
Joanna was the hostess. She was super friendly, and let me know I can do a beer flight, so I did 2 flights.
After sampling 8 beers, I can tell you that I have favorites, but they are all worth drinking.
Being a German restaurant, I made sure to order schnitzel. Food came out fresh and quick.
Robin is a great Bartender, and since he is German, I actually learned food history.
Elliot was also a great bartender, and he made sure to check in regularly.
I’m not from this state, but this Gilde place made me feel at home.

My wife moved from Germany 10 years ago and she always says Gilde Brewery has the most authentic German food since she has moved here. We live over an hour drive away and are more than willing to make the drive just because the food and service is so amazing! Highly recommended.
