I can’t agree with that last review because I also was in on August 17th and purchased the Beef Rib platter and didn’t get sick. 10/10 The ribs was tender and juicy also the greens and Mac was amazing. I can’t wait to go back!!!

This was my FIRST & LAST TIME ordering anything from here! My husband & I ordered online & never received confirmation our food was ready. It just said, “Unconfirmed” but they took our money! Should’ve know this wasn’t going to go right but we stayed optimistic & wanted to support our Black own establishment! We ordered the stuffed salmon w/crab meat & shrimp w/broccoli & collard greens (there were no greens so I settled for string beans)…the other platter was the ribs, mac-n-cheese & yams. We never checked our food before leaving. We went to Wawa to get something to drink before returning home. I was excited to taste my food so I open my salmon platter only to see the salmon was WELL DONE & was BROWN Took the platter back & was told their Salmon is the number 1 seller…NOT!! I was given another piece of salmon that was not WELL DONE.. Arrived home only to find out the other platter was the wrong order. The rib platter was not given to us, instead we were given another stuffed salmon w/crab meat & shrimp w/double spinach. My husband was pissed! We tried calling numerous of times but no one answered the phone. We didn’t have enough time to go back due to their closing time. THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE!! Everything was covered in salted butter & the sides were very salty!! I will be returning the food back to them tomorrow & will provide an update on how things were handled! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

My Honey Jerk Wings, Mac and Cheese, and Yams platter was incredible. Greatly portioned and served hot. Crystal was very sweet and helpful in my decisions.

I’ve been going to gilbens /smokehouse for the past couple years. I never once had any problems. The food is very tasty and very delicious. It’ll make you wanna keep coming back. Everyone is always respectful and the food is one of the best spots in Philly. I never had no complaints on anything I ever ordered. Everything is top-notch. and they definitely give you your money‘s worth I really feel like people just miserable if you’re not satisfied with the food just try to go home and cook yourself I will always continue to come back because they definitely is one of the best that ever did it if you feel like a Thanksgiving meal on a daily this is definitely the spot continue to do yalllll thing i’m coming for more i’m coming for more deliciousssssssssasssssss

Hi, I visit this restaurant today for the first time. The service of the guy was nice, but the food was absolutely disgusting. Nothing of it tasted good not even the spinach had no seasoning. I could not believe it because I was so hyped to try it and it was nasty I gave it away to a homeless person

Personally, I don’t like anybody serving me my food with a nasty attitude the men in there try their best to be nice and efficient but the lady that’s always working at the register has a nasty attitude. The food already doesn’t look the best. It doesn’t look too good too appetizing and for her to have an attitude on top of it is Disgusting. I came and got a garlic bread, cheese steak. It was soggy as I don’t know what I mean if you want the soggy cheesesteak with chicken steakums out of the frozen section go here was served with a nasty attitude. Go here but hey I don’t recommend. The bakery fell off used to have good baked goods idk what happened over time.
