Friendly HOME TOWN cafe. If you’re expecting a fine dining establishment this is not it. That being said, the service is incredible, the food delicious, and the locals are friendly. You can see directly into the kitchen and from where I was standing, sanitation looked to be very good. The local crowd seems to be a bit older, the food seems to be seasoned to their liking (not spicy and light on the salt). If you want it heavily seasoned ask for it that way.
I was driving through and found this place accidentally, but it turned out to be a complete GEM.
Also, showers at the attached truck stop are free, and truck parking is free as well. Super convenient for the over the road guys like myself.

When you walk in, you simply find a seat and make yourself comfortable. It’s a small hometown café, not a fancy fine-dining place, and that’s part of its charm. The atmosphere feels relaxed and simple, just like the kind of local spot where people come to enjoy a good meal and take a break.
I stopped here while traveling across the country, and I was pleasantly surprised. The ham and cheese omelet with American fries was really tasty and satisfying. The waitstaff were all friendly and polite, which made the experience even better. After finishing your meal, you just walk up to the register and pay. Honestly, I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews ♂️ — my visit was enjoyable and I’d gladly stop by again!

It is a very nice place for a small town restaurant. However I have been in the food industry for 25 years and a few things need to be adjusted. For starters your Cooks should have hairnets and definitely beard nets on. Should not be eating behind the line. They don’t even switch out the gloves when there eating with them on. Also your using a rag to wipe off disposable gloves then wipe off your arms and after that your wiping off your work station with the same towel. You keep your eggs out the whole breakfast shift in a big bucket and I do not see any ice for keeping them cool. The stuff I am stating is food 101. I deal with food and health inspections on a daily basis. If my inspectors came here they would have a payday with this place.
Service e is great depending on which server you get.
In the food buisness, safety for your guests and staff is the utmost importance.

First of all I’m am not usually that person that leaves reviews but we stopped at GiGis on our way back to Minnesota, first encounter with our waitress was great friendly got our drinks promptly (table of 6, 3adults 3kids under 9years of age) then another table came in of 7 adults, about 10 mins after we had sat down, she got their drinks then proceeded to take their order with out even looking at us. Finally another 10 mins went by and she came to take our order food came she did check back to see if everything was okay. Never came to clear a plate and it took a half hour after we were done eating to get our bill. Everyone went to the car to wait for me while I waited for her to get me the bill. Not the best service in my eyes.

For $20 bucks a person including tip I got a lot of food and good service. I got the Denver omelet with hash browns and a pancake instead of bread plus my coffee. Good diner food served quickly.

Walk in and find yourself a place to sit. It’s a hometown Cafe, not a fine dining establishment. I happened to be coming through on a cross-country trip and thought the ham&cheese omelet with American fries was wonderful. Waitstaff were all nice. Then you walk up to the register and pay. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about ♂️

It was ok. We had a pancake with bacon and oatmeal. The pancake was below average and overpriced. The oatmeal was pretty good, with enough portions to feed the family, price was great. I’m pretty jaded though – I get annoyed when restaurants specify Maple Syrup on the menu and instead bring table syrup that is made from corn, not trees. They did bring two different bottles of high fructose corn syrup – one “regular” and one colored purple they called “boysenberry”.
This cafe is connected directly to a convenience store, casino and truckers lounge on the other side of the building. Service was ok, they only had one server and one cook on staff, if it was busier they would have been overwhelmed. They did their best under the circumstances. There might be better places to eat in Glendive.

Good ol’ fashioned food, menu, ambience!
It is clear the locals come here.
I love to sit and watch the ‘regulars’ come on in for their fixins’
We even met GiGi. She has owned the bar for 30 years and now has the cafe too! Thanks for hosting us!
