I recently tried Gigi Koupe Dwet Cuisine. The staff was very friendly, and the food was genuinely delicious with great flavor. However, the biggest downside for me was the value. I paid almost $30 for a meal and felt the portion size was surprisingly small for the price. I can’t justify spending that much for so little food. If they increased the portion sizes or lowered the prices, this would easily be a five-star spot in my book. For now, I’m giving it 2 stars.

SO GOOD!!!! can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! Tonight we tried Giyo with Diri Djon Djon and we also tried a chicken Jamaican patty!

We also tried a chicken Jamaican patty it was made fresh so the wait was like 10 mins, but worth it. IT WAS HUGE!!!
I also LOVED the huge dining room and cool photo off by the back bar area ☺️
I ordered to go tonight and ate this at home and I’m making the review later on so I’m really sad that I didn’t take any pictures of the food. I will try and make another review or update this one with pictures another time because we will definitely be back! Also, I don’t know the lady‘s name in the front, but she was extremely nice and accommodating!

Excellent experience at GIGI KDC! The food is absolutely delicious, authentic, and well seasoned. You can truly taste the passion in the Haitian cuisine. The service is professional, fast, and very welcoming. The place is clean with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food. I will definitely come back!

Coming from Miami its been hard to find a good haitian spot in winter haven. This place gave me high hope. It’s new in winter haven ,its very clean and the people are really nice. The reason im giving a 2 star is because of the price and the amount of food i got. I ordered legume with rice and my legume had absolutely no meat in it. Very disappointed.. so I payed 24$ for rice and veggies. Never agian!

As the old boss of the owner, I watched the excitement of the process of her ideas coming to life, but I also saw the unfortunate setbacks. Gigi remained positive and left it in the lords hands. As an American who strongly dislikes American Food, I already know what this restaurant was bringing to the world. I have tasted MANY of Gigi’s delicious dishes… The Grand Opening was a HUGE success, but no surprise there… It was amazing to see all the beautiful people who showed up for a beautiful human! The customer service was beyond exceptional. The food of course was a 10/10! If you’re looking for authentic Haitian Food made with love, look no further… I will be visiting every trip to Lakeland/Davenport/Orlando! Congrats Gigi, I’m beyond proud of you and so happy for your latest adventure! May God be the glory!

When I say Gigi Koupe Dwet Cuisine is good, I mean GOOD! Everything had that real Haitian flavor nothing watered down, just the way it’s supposed to be. Big plates, amazing taste, and vibes that make you feel like you’re at a family gathering. Definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful time here!! I went during the grand opening and was served with the best service, had the tastiest food, and felt at home!! The drinks are amazing as well. I had the watermelon splash and its the perfect summer drink to fight against that blazing summer heat. I drove 2 hours to make it to the grand opening and it was worth every minute spent on the highway. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience and I will be back again!

the food is good, the flavor is there, the portion size is not. this is my second time ordering from them, two separate days (today and yesterday) excluding taxes and fees from ordering with Uber eats, the price is $26 for oxtail. this usually isn’t unreasonable, it’s a bit on the high side but still under $30 dollars (if you’re not getting it delivered)…. so keeping the $26 price in mind, I paid $26 for FOUR pieces of meat. FOUR oxtail, and one barely qualifies as meat as it was mainly just bone and the other one was really small, so I’m being generous when I say I got 4 pieces of meat here. They gave a ton of rice and the meat/juice/onions etc was in a separate container. good, it keeps the food hot. the container itself is about the size of my palm, I paid for a meal not a sample.
Yesterday I ordered their Légume, I noticed the meat issue then too but since I’ve never tried this type of food before I thought it was a fluke, no restaurant is perfect. which is why I tried a different “entree” and a different day. nope. it’s even worse today.
Because I had my ordered delivered, I have spent over $30 both times as I enjoy trying foods from new cultures and both times I have been disappointed with the portion sizes. It’s tasty but they should really increase how much meat they’re giving their customers. the rice is fine, the sides are fine, but if I’m paying for an “oxtail entree” I expect more than 4 pieces of meat.

I called to see if they had sweet Plantains. The person who answer put me on hold for about two minutes. When they came back they advised that they didn’t have Sweet plantings. I proceed to order my gyro the sweet plantains. I asked how long the wait would be they advise it would be 25 to 20 minutes. I waited at least 40 minutes before leaving my home. It took me about 15 minutes to get there. When I did get to the restaurant I expect my food to be ready which it was not I proceed to wait at least another 10 to 15 minutes. When they came out with my food they advised me that they didn’t have sweet plantains. At this point in time I was overwhelmed flustered and just took the food. I was very disappointed in the food. The regular plantains had no salt on them. The gryo was very dry. I even had my parents taste the food and they were not satisfied. We could not finish the plate .

Every dish tastes fresh and made with love. The presentation, the seasoning, the portions… everything is top tier.
