Service however was a little hit and miss, it took a while to order drinks and food but it was busy. The food arrived in super quick time, in fact they were just clearing the starters when they arrived with the mains and we didn’t dither about eating the first course as we were hungry. This felt a little rushed to say the least.
When it came to the bill it was another matter entirely. We asked for the bill when the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. It didn’t arrive and by now the restaurant was emptying out. We then asked another waitress after about 20 minutes and she brought over the bill. However she never came back with the card reader. Fast forward another 15 minutes or so and we had to wave to catch the eye of yet another waitress as we appeared to have become invisible at this stage. The restaurant was a lot less busy at this point and we were wondering if we had been gifted a free meal as they didn’t seem to want to take payment (joke!)! Finally we paid and were able to leave.
Whilst the food was good, the service was a lot different to the last time we visited and I’m afraid it might be a while before we return.
We even got a complimentary chocolate pudding for my wife’s birthday which really was the icing on the cake.
We will definitely be back again!
