Attended the 2025 Minnesota State fair on opening day. Was looking forward to trying their ‘new food’ “ Timber twists.” Wow! Was I disappointed! The sausage in the center was flavorless. The manicotti shell was OK. The bacon on the outside was nearly raw, And the way they slathered on the sauce, really did not contribute much and definitely took away from their finger food concept. Every year I always get the walleye fingers as well. Last year they were overcooked, and the fish inside was dry. I ordered them again this year and probably shouldn’t have accepted them because they were so brown. I suspected the results were going to be the same and they were. $25 For those two food items and we took a couple bites of each and threw the rest away. Might want to rethink these items or at least ask others eating them nearby what they thought. While my fingers could be corrected, but I don’t see a solution for the timber twist. That said, the lines moved very quickly, The staff was courteous, and the state fair environment is always a interesting place to people watch!

We loved the walleye cakes paired with a cold Dill Pickle beer! Another favorite is the Duck Bacon wontons!

This is always a “must eat” at the State Fair, but this year the walleye fries were a disappointment. Dry, tough, overcooked. Next year we will try the walleye in the Food Hall

Amazing place! The line was long but they moved super fast! Friendly staff even with the long lines and hellish heat. Be sure to try the s’mores beer and walleye fries!

Disappointed
I went to Giggles yesterday at the State Fair. Last year I had purchased their walleye sandwich and it was amazing. The walleye was bigger than the bun and delicious! I have been excited to go back this year. Yesterday I purchased a walleye sandwich for my son and I, the walleye was half the size and the price had gone up. I have been telling people all year what a great walleye sandwich you make and that you get your monies worth, sadly I don’t feel that way now.

They have a lot of unique options and you’d expect to have to wait with such long lines and the type of food they have, but they handed us our order maybe 30 seconds after we relayed it to the cashier! Very efficient, my parents had the elk burger and the walleye strips, they both said it was just okay. I had the raspberry cider which was awesome!

Superior place to get excellent foods and delicious craft beers. They make food and specialty sauces from scratch, serve smoked salmon and walleye, as well as tender pork. All around the best choice for quality fair food.
