Passed this place so many times and decided to try on Saturday afternoon.The outside doesn’t look like much but the food was amazing. The inside is pretty retro and homey. Everything tasted home made and the fried chicken was the best we ever had and the mint jelly with the lamb really made it. The chicken soup ” with all the good things” was great. Service was fast and pleasant. Definitely don’t overlook this place. Was too full for dessert but they had large selection of home made pies.

Update: Since my first review we’ve been back quite a few times, including Thanksgiving dinners the last two years. Each time the food & service have been terrific!

Cute little place. Old mom and pop vibes. My boyfriend got a chili burger (famous chili?) and the chili was the most bland chili we’ve ever tasted. It didn’t taste like chili at all? But everything else was good!

Amazing Home cooked meal. The setting is super relaxed and feels like home. Its nice to go into a restaurant that doesn’t feel like a sterile operating room. Great Place! Go eat there and you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely best place for home cooked meals. The chicken noodle soup is worth going back for time and time again. Large portions and no tiny slice of pie- you get a “mom sliced” piece of home made pie! The stuffed cabbage is the best in NEPA! It’s our to go to place when we visit!

We enjoyed such a delicious meal yesterday. We always have a scrumptious meal at Gibney’s. I had roast beef, mashed potatoes, applesauce. My husband had crab-stuffed haddock (huge), baked potato, beers. Portions are big. It’s our go-to place for a tasty meal!
