Big Cheese Thrifts
Went tonight for first time around 5:30pm on a Friday for date night. HIGHLY recommend doing a reservation. Got patio seating and as you can see the views don’t disappoint but you wanna know about the food.
Two people, no drinks (we are water people), Appetiser, two meals, dessert: $75 before tip.
Our waitress Lainey was AMAZING. She was so busy but made sure to check in on the tables like a champ. They were snappy on the bread, the butter was nicely balanced and not overly salty. Also if u want more for your meal ask for it! They will oblige! Also the Cat Host Parmesan made sure to table touch like a natural, and he’s super sweet! We were also told they actually took him to the vet when he got hurt by something to make sure he was ok and get him better….that’s CLASS folks.
Got the Bruschetta, was delicious, had some sweetness, the tomatoes aren’t overly acidic and balanced it out well. Bread was crispy and on point.
Pappardelle Bolognese noddles were wide and cooked well. Meat was seasoned right on point with a good balance of salt and cooked to perfection. I like sauce could have used a little more but that’s more so on my preference, the noodles were sauced amazingly otherwise.
The other dish Penne Tuscano was just as rich and delicious. Sauce was creamy and the chicken was moist and done amazingly.
Finishing out with a Tiramisu it was just divine. Nice coffee flavor, mascarpone wasn’t too sweet but enough to balance out the bitter of the coffee flavor, nice dusting of cocoa with just a little juiciness at the bottom which was on point.
TLDR: Everyone was super nice, attentive, and made sure that not just us but everyone around us was well taken care of (from my perspective) is it cheap? No. Atmosphere good? Yes. Seating good? Yes. Food Good? Absolutely. Sweet cat=Win.

Omg!!!! We found this place online and decided to try for dinner and dannnngggg talk about legit Italian food!!!!! The pasta was homemade and you could tell a huge difference in flavor and texture because of it. My husband is 100% Italian and said this was some of the best he has had in years. We are still dreaming of it to this day everything tasted fire and nothing else has compared since. Wish they had more locations in other states.

I came here for dinner with a friend before an event. We had a reservation and showed up a few minutes early and were seated immediately even though they were busy. Most people were dressed pretty casually, though I think you could come a bit dressier. It’s nice inside and has a nice covered patio area with heaters for cooler days. As soon as we were seated we were brought a carafe of ice watar and bread. Our waitress was prompt in coming to ask if we wanted drinks or appetizers, neither of which we wanted, though there was a tiramisu martini that sounded divine. She told us the night’s specials, both of which sounded delicious. Both my friend and I had the lobster pasta special. It was delicious, though the serving was not large. My favorite dessert is tiramisu, so of course I had to have it, and it was amazing. We didn’t see our waitress again until it was time for our check, which was disappointing. The prices are a bit on the higher side for pasta, especially since the servings aren’t that large. I’d be happy to try the restaurant again and next time I’ll have the mushroom risotto.

Giardino was incredible! We dined there for our our 13th Anniversary, and it definitely did not disappoint. We sat out on the covered patio, and it was absolutely perfect. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all fantastic. I had the chicken parmesan with paperdelle alfredo, and my husband had “the best chicken piccata of his life.” We can’t wait to go back!

It was really good, I really enjoyed the food and the portion sizes were perfect. I thought service was lacking for the price point. I wish they wouldve been more attentive. We had to ask for refills twice throughout our meal, dishes should’ve been bussed a little quicker, and carafe was empty when we were still eating.

In the words of Nike, “Just do it.” Go on a date or just treat yourself to a nice night out. The food was excellent! We had the Pappardelle bolognese and the sauce is the real deal – cooked for 7 hours and the pork tomahawk scallopini which was also delightful with a wonderful cream sauce. Wish this restaurant was in San Antonio!

This was the most wonderful experience. Food was amazing, presentation was perfect and the service was top tier. The owner was working the floor and catered to his guest. Excellent meal made to order with plant based requests all met and all expectations exceeded! Not surprising considering the attentive service. The atmosphere is lovely and the menu will surely please everyone in your group, including wine connoisseurs.
Absolutely welcoming to families and equally perfect for special occasions, there is plenty of seating and parking for the many regulars who frequent often and those trying the restaurant for the first time.
