First time visiting after having this on my saved list since moving here 1.5 years ago. I was greeted warmly by both the couple.
This is in a neighborhood so maps will lead you to the front of the house, but you’ll have to drive around to the alleyway. Turn on Walnut Street and the entrance is on Pastry Lane.
I bought 5 items totalling $39. Card is accepted but I know cash is preferred (which is what I paid with).
1. Rasberry Linzer
2. Cannoli
3. Baklava
4. Apricot Frangipane
5. Fresh Raspberry White Bavarian mousse

I came in here today for the first time, I’m very happy to have found a bakery around here that makes Italian/europeron pastries. To be more specific they make bread, croissants, cake, muffins and more. I got sfogliatelle which were delicious and filled perfectly. I got an eclair, cannoli and the baked apricot vanilla custard.

If you follow the gps, you will end up at the front of the house; directions to the back are on a yard sign. Make your way down to a few parking spots. Once you open the door you can smell the flavors of fresh baked bread and pastries. The pastries are so worth the trip. Make sure you pay attention to the store hours; Friday 9-5pm and Saturday 9-3pm. We will back to try something different ❤️❤️❤️

Such a unique gem! The owners are a pure delight, we love to visit with them. Giancarlo is from Northern Italy and his pastries are divine. Everything we have tried has been nothing short of delicious! If you like GOOD pastries, you need to come here. They make bread from scratch as well. You won’t be disappointed with anything they sell. Fresh and imported ingredients for high quality authentic Italian treats! (And they use REAL Colombian chocolate. Nothing but the best!)

We were recommended to try this place by a local while us out of towners are visiting. We were immediately warmly greeted by the sweetest couple who owns the pastry bakery & given a gracious treat of his what should be world-famous cannoli cream (& I know cannolis I’m from New York) highly recommend a visit if you’re in town & absolutely try a loaf of of their delicious home made bread too! The dense, fresh flavor was everything. It really was a pleasure to have met these folks! We’ll always stop by when we’re down here visiting now!

Incredible pastries! Owners are true masters of their craft. I will come back just to hear Giancarlo’s stories about Lumezanne. Places like this really are one in a million. 10 stars.

My husband and I went here for the first time the other day and were pleasantly surprised by all the tasty treats that were available! We got several pastries for us and to share. I tried the cannoli and Palmier cookie. My husband got the lemon square and everything we got was delicious. The owner was very friendly and we could just tell he has a passion for baking!

Our first time and it won’t be the last. My wife bit onto the rustic Italian bread and uttered “holy mother of God”. Clearly this is exquisite bread. Pastries are a absolute delight.

We used Giancarlo for our wedding cake and dessert bar (cocktail sized pastries) at our wedding in Staunton a few weeks ago. Everyone loved the cake and desserts and our guests were going back for 2nd and 3rd slices of the cake. Not only were the cake and desserts perfectly baked and delicious, they were also beautiful. I cannot recommend Giancarlo enough!
