This is my father in law’s favorite place to eat. The place says it is a roadhouse, but it has the feeling of a cabin in the woods. There is a bar and two dining rooms inside, but everyone was eating outside in the back patio, side porch, and in a small yard.
The food was delicious. I had steak and eggs. Other people had the Cobb salad, the Steak sandwich, and the peach stuffed French toast.
The beer and cocktails were very nice.

I liked the down-to-earth, local vibe. It seemed like a place where weary travelers had been stopping for warm hospitality for decades. The food was pretty good. The kids liked the waffle sticks and French toast with mango. I only ever return food when I get very runny eggs after asking for very hard. I did this and unfortunately received equally runny eggs.

I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Giaco’s while taking a random drive outside of downtown SF where I was staying. The restaurant is unassuming and downright charming. The staff were all beyond kind, and my pizza/beer were both simply mouth watering. I would return to the area for no other reason than to enjoy a cool breeze and a lovely meal on the peaceful patio.

Truly a Valley gem! Wonderful food and service for lunch and dinner. The core menu always hit those necessary cravings and the specials are always an amazing treat. You couldn’t find a more welcoming, and considerate staff. The full bar has a quality selection and they have excellent craft cocktails for everyone. Don’t even get me started on the tap beer! 100% the best Guinness on tap in Marin county, and if you think otherwise your dead wrong. Giaco’s is never the wrong choice for a family gathering, date, get together with friends, or a chill lunch or brunch. Oh and they have live music sometimes! Enjoy.

Fabulous west county roadhouse, amazing food, friendly servers and even live music! A special appetizer of halibut and scallop ceviche with avocado, cucumber and plantain chips — then the most amazing eggplant parmesan topped with crispy kale and perfectly cooked broccolini while the hubby had tagliatelle with bolognese. Great wine selection, $20 corkage if you supply your own and loads of cocktails. Rustic, comfortable atmosphere, lovely patio among the redwoods and comfy feels all around.

I had the most extraordinary experience at this wonderful restaurant and I would highly recommend it to everyone. It was my first time there, and we had just finished a very steep beautiful 6 mile hike in the nearby peaks overlooking a reservoir and we were quite hungry. The place reminded me of one of our favorite restaurants in Portola Valley which boasted a beautiful outdoor eating area. I’m a vegetarian, so I naturally looked at the salads and chose the one that our waitress recommended, and asked about the soup. She informed us that they were making the soup and it probably would take another twenty or so minutes. We both greatly enjoyed our dishes. I offered my husband a taste of mine, because it was delicious and very unusual, a warm salad with roasted vegetables, quinoa, braised kale, pistachios, pomegranate, served warm with a mustard dressing. I was still a bit hungry, though, and I knew that my husband would want dessert, so I asked, again about the soup, and was informed that it would probably be done in 5 minutes. Well, I explained very briefly to our waitress that I stopped eating sugar when i found out that I had cancer, and I was going in for surgery the next day, so I would like to have the soup at the same time that she served dessert to my husband. Soup and dessert arrived. I loved the soup; it was excellent! We were both delighted with our meal, but what touched me the most was afterwards, when my husband informed me that our kind waitress comped us the meal, when she realized that I had cancer and was going in for surgery. I almost cried and I hugged the waitress and was embarrassed, but had to tell her the details and assure her that it was just skin cancer and that I was going to be fine. Then she told me about her family and their experience with cancer and how she knew how scary it could be… The next day when I drove 2 1/2 hours to get the surgery, I kept thinking of her and her goodness, empathy, kindness, generosity and, in turn, of the deep goodness of humanity, how wonderful it is that one of the greatest drivers of all is simply the heartfelt love that inspires people to help one another. It filled me with joy and helped me get through the surgery and make my way home, and I am sure that it helped me to heal. I also know that we will return again, and again, to Giaco’s Valley Roadhouse, not just for the great food, but because the folks who work there have great hearts and I will be forever grateful to our extraordinary kind, gracious waitress.

Amazing place! The food is very impressive, the interior is warm and cozy like a cabin but open and spacious. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and made great recommendations.
We had the clams, Prosciutto Crostini, frito misto and the garlic prawns to start. then we got a maple sausage pizza and a cesar salad in between courses. For our main dishes we ordered the seafood pappardelle, mushroom and spinach ravioli with truffle, flank steak and the carbonara. What can i say everything was delicious.
As much as we tried and resist the temptation for sweets, we ended up ordering one of each of the desserts offered by chef Alejandro.. and ohh my lord!! That sealed the deal! Delicious! We got a chocolate mouse, a tiramisu, a lemon tart and a crème brûlée. We had a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it.

Came here for a Halloween event, which in itself was excellent. But the fried chicken – the moment I tasted it I was simultaneously thinking “wow” and “oh no.” “Oh no” because it’s the sort of amazing irresistible flavor that haunts you and makes you seek it out again and again, and “wow” for the same reason. Seriously the best fried chicken I’ve ever had – juicy and flavorful (and not just the breading, but the chicken itself – they must brine it). And the owner and staff are friendly and personable. Warm, charming atmosphere too. I’ll definitely be back!
