Social Profile:

GhostFire is situated at the west end of Marathon, right next to The Desert Ghost Distillery. If you are craving a delicious Texas blend of flavors, give us a call or stop by, and we’ll prepare your perfect pizza to go or enjoy it at the distillery if they are open. Ghostfire Pizza dough is a true labor of love. Made fresh from our own sourdough starter and fermented for 72 hours, it is lighter than most sourdoughs and incredibly delicious. We use Fior di Latte (mozzarella), San Marzano tomatoes, and 24-month aged Parmesan cheese on our pizzas, along with a variety of freshly made toppings to enhance the flavors.

GhostFire Pizza – Marathon, Texas | A Must-Visit Pizza Stop in West Texas

GhostFire Pizza in Marathon, Texas was one of those wonderful surprises that makes traveling through West Texas so memorable. After a long day on the road exploring Big Bend country, finding a place with fresh, handcrafted pizza and a welcoming atmosphere felt like striking gold. The pizza was absolutely delicious — perfectly baked crust, fresh toppings, and rich flavor that hit the spot after a day of adventure. It’s easily one of the best pizza experiences I’ve had while traveling through the region.

What really elevates GhostFire Pizza beyond just great food is the exceptional service. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and relaxed, creating an easygoing atmosphere that reflects the friendly spirit of Marathon itself. A special thanks to Brent, whose warm greeting and genuine hospitality made my arrival in town feel personal and memorable. That kind of kindness is what turns a simple meal into a great travel memory.

If you’re visiting Marathon, heading to Big Bend National Park, or exploring the scenic routes of West Texas, GhostFire Pizza is a must-stop for travelers, RVers, and food lovers alike. Great pizza, excellent service, and a true small-town Texas welcome — I’ll definitely be returning on my next journey through this beautiful desert region.

This West Texas Sourdough Crust is what makes this pizza so delicious!! Don’t be afraid to get the Pesto Diablo Pizza. It’s not as hot as the name suggests (which was great for us, we don’t like anything when it’s overly spicy.) We almost were able to eat both pies and would have been disappointed if we only ordered one.

I can’t think of any other pizza I enjoyed as much as this pizza!!! We had the Pesto Diablo and the Texapolitan. It was so fantastic, my husband and I ate two pizzas in one sitting! Beyond the amazing flavor combinations, it didn’t leave you feeling sluggish or a rock in your stomach. Truly, the BEST! Paired with the atmosphere and customer service, I will be dreaming of this pizza and the day I can return.

The Pesto Diablo (Pepperoni, Fior Di Latte, Fresh Basil Pesto, Ghostfire Hot Honey Drizzle) is one of the best pizzas in the State of Texas, which is really, really big by the way! The food is only matched by the friendly staff and amazing outdoor patio views. When in Marathon, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit.

You could not even believe how good a pizza would taste in a town of 400 people in South West Texas….and then you eat a ghost fire….it will absolutely blow your mind. Even if you have to drive a couple of hours….desert ghost distillery next door…worth every chew. Been a lot of places all over the world and this stands out…no joke!!!!!

I had moderate expectations for this place as it was the only place in town open for dinner, but instead, it blew us away. Hands down the pepperoni pizza was the best pizza we’ve ever eaten. The owner travelled to Europe for the ingredients in the super light crust. I’m not sure how he got it so thin and crispy but WOW! And it stayed crispy through the last bite. We highly recommend a stop in Marathon to try it for yourself. It was superb!

This is THE place to visit in tri-county area. The pizza is absolutely the best in tri-county and right next door is the desert ghost distillery. Get a flight and buy a bottle, the flight is then free. This place is the absolute best out here.

No joke. The pizza was one of the best I’ve had. And I would say I’m a very experienced pizza lover. The crust is light and soft, well risen and the ingredientes very well paired. They have a large patio with the space for the kids and large parties. Definitely dedicate an evening to eat there. You’re welcome

GhostFire Pizza in Marathon, TX seriously impressed me. The homemade sourdough crust was perfectly crisp with just the right chew, and the balance of sauce to cheese was spot on. We ordered the Texapolitan and the Margherita, and both were outstanding in their own way.

I’ll say this, it’s my favorite pizza in all of West Texas thus far! On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The Fam and I will be making the trip back from Fort Stockton soon and probably often going forward!

Fantastic elevated pizza. Some of the best crust I’ve eaten – light and crisp. GhostFire has fun combinations. We tried the Texaspolitan, Margherita, Pesto Diablo, and the Rancher. All excellent, zero left over with our group. Love that it’s connected to the Desert Ghost Distillery where you can enjoy pizza and a cocktail on the patio. Friendly, personable service – highly recommend!
