The interior is interesting. It’s got that downtown diner vibe. The service is very friendly.
I quite like the decorations. The pink walls pop. The black and white tiles give a vintage vibe. The cement counters, neon logo, and subtle light balls all worked well together for me. The staff was friendly too. However, I’m afraid the shakes and sliders were mediocre. The sliders tasted okay, but it felt like I was served a microwavable one. The shake was too sweet for me. It’s an average American shake. The reviews deceived me. I probably won’t be back unless it’s for happy hour drinks and to talk.
Food ia full of flavor and makes you want more. I enjoyed every bite. I had the Buffalo Bleu Chicken Sammy and Ghost fries. Dining room is clean. Decor is contemporary art with black and white floors and a pink accent to the theme. There’s a wheelchair ramp. My visit was immediately after a snow storm, so outside views weren’t ideal but I can forsee a livily summer vibe. That private dining area appears to have and pure street corner view, so watch the City come to Life.
If the seating area closes around 9:30 or 9:45 PM, that’s understandable. But closing the dine-in service a full hour before the listed closing time is very misleading. It defeats the purpose of listing a 10 PM closing time if customers cannot actually dine in during that period.
We came from quite far away, excited to enjoy a meal here, especially given that it’s located in the heart of DC. It was disappointing to be told to order takeout almost immediately after arriving.
Clear communication about actual dine-in hours would really help avoid situations like this. Unfortunately, this did not feel like good service or good customer experience.
