Just walked in for a to go order and $8.52 was the price I was given for 1 egg scrambled with cheese by its self no meat no bread no potatoes, just 1 egg and 1 slice of cheese, I said no way and walked out and will never walk in there ever again. I thought waffle house was expensive but I see they will be getting my business. Thats truly sad!

The restaurant owners response to this bad review confirms my TERRIBLE experience and because of this I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN AND I WILL INTENTIONALLY GO OUT OF MY WAY TO SHARE MY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYONE I KNOW AND I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE!!! This business is ok with less than mediocre and how sad that is. The lady at the register really needs to take some customer service classes. She thinks its her house and everyone is her kid I guess. In addition, I thought my sandwich was light when i picked it up. It felt like air. Well, this has to be the thinnest cheapest piece of ham with almost no cheese ive ever seen. My sandwich was all bread mostly except for this delicious egg on it lol and for almost $7. Thank God I did not leave a tip as I was getting take out. Also, its a sandwich shop … LOL BAHAHAHA!! Oh and they don’t even have sourdough bread and like i said its a sandwich shop! Lol bahahaha .. if it weren’t for ALL these senior citizens this place wouldn’t stand a chance. Just another dive folks nothing to see here keep it moving.

I ordered a Turkey club to go and it was a fantastic sandwich! I know it’s kinda random thing to like, but I really like the shredded lettuce and it had the perfect amount of mayo. The lady that took my order was very nice, and all the staff I saw were happy and smiling. I’ll be back for sure!

We loved this place! The atmosphere was homey and about as “America” as it could get. Fried pickles, corn nuggets, and sandwiches like mom would make. It’s exactly the food we were wanting after a morning of visiting downtown New Bern. I hope to have an opportunity to visit again, the hot hamburger plate will be my next adventure if I do!

I eat breakfast here quite often. The food is always cooked fresh. The service is excellent and you can buy a meal for first responders if you wish. The hot hamburger plates are the best around.
