True home cooked food, the name is not a misnomer! We took an exit off the LV-SF journey for some wonderful freshly cooked food. Truly worth it.
The location is industrial and can be intimidating, the food and service are authentic and worth it. Family run place with a selection of dishes, both veg and non-veg. The chapatis were made to order and everything tasted fresh. Very polite and friendly service. Clean restroom available in the office/trailer. Highly recommended!

Based on the overall experience I would say it’s a place which provides good food or the cook is great. Service, I am not sure and price is based on your “ face value “. They don’t have menu and no fixed price, and it changes from person to person. They simply charged my card a high amount which was more than a sitting restaurant without telling us the cost of items as they had no menu . I would be careful as they seem to be very polite and respectful.

Punjabi Dhaba really reminded me of food back home. The roti tasted just like homemade Indian roti, and the fish pakoda was crispy and full of flavor. The chicken curry was also really good. We came at 1:00 am and they still welcomed us warmly, which was really nice. The staff was friendly and active even that late. If you want that real Indian roadside dhaba taste and feel, this place is definitely worth visiting. Loved it!

The Best Parantha place in the United States. Proper Dhaba style food. You won’t trust me but we literally ate so much food, the food was so yumm that the first two paranthas were eaten within seconds. Dal makhani and Chana was also great. Really really loved the food. Must try if you are passing Bakerfield. Delighted with the experience, service and the amazing food.

A Taste of Home at Ghar Di Roti
I absolutely loved my experience at Ghar Di Roti! From the moment I walked in, the homely atmosphere and the incredibly warm people made me feel right at home. It’s clear they pour their heart into everything they do.
And the food? Simply outstanding! The chicken curry was a true standout—rich, flavorful, and just like something you’d get at a home made dinner.
Their tandoori was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. I also devoured the aloo paratha, which was fantastic, especially when paired with their refreshing raita.
And as the name suggests, the homemade rotis were absolutely perfect—soft, fresh, and the ideal accompaniment to every dish.
If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Punjabi food served with genuine warmth, Ghar Di Roti is an absolute must-visit!

Food is delicious but very expensive! $17 in 2026 for scrambled paneer(paneer bhurji) is outrageous! This was roadside thievery vs a roadside dhaba!

Please do not go there. They do not display the rates. Taste is far from tasty or authentic. When they bill you , you will be surprised. Dal makhni is half the portion compared to other restaurants and priced $14. Chholey bhature is $12 with tiny bhature blended with haldi powder. Lassi is watery. Only tava roti was good. If you dont care about the taste, please check the rate before ordering

If you want a real homemade Punjabi food and rotis, you should absolutely try this place! Food was amazing! Chicken curry and rotis were out of the world! We also got fresh daal makhani that was delicious! Overall you wouldn’t go wrong with the food here.
This place is run by such a nice and loving couple who checked on us every few mins to make sure we felt like we were their guests at home! They were so nice and friendly! Loved their gesture so much!
Additionally this restaurant is conveniently located on a way between Bay Area and Las Vegas! Hence, if you are driving between these two cities, you should plan to stop by here for lunch or dinner!
