We were not impressed with new ownership. The menu was not up today. There was more on the doordash menu. Most of the food came cold like the cheese stix and the prime rib. They did not have a large adult drink selection and most of what we asked for was not available. The server did spill and entire drink on one in our party, they did comp her meal but wait staff needs better training. The server mixed up lots of drinks. I hope with time they can get things to flow better but I would holld off till they have been open a bit longer. If you like the cubs its nice to look at the memorabilia but the random batman threw me off. Was not a fan of the bathroom being in the server station as it was a bit congested back there.

If you’re in the Bridgman area this is the place to go for all Cubs games. They also have a nice bar setup, so even in the baseball offseason, I’d recommend going there to watch your game. The staff is very friendly and they have a nice Chicago themed menu with burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, etc.

I dropped by for a late lunch and was very happy with my meal. The inside is quite comfortable and welcoming, and the staff were equally friendly. The place seems to have regular customers that give it a cheerful atmosphere. The food arrived quickly. I tried the billy goat burger with grilled mushrooms and onions. The burger was excellent; it was juicy with a good balance of flavors. The fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with decent flavor on their own. I’d definitely recommend this bar to anyone looking for a casual meal or drink.

Great Stop!!! passing through on a motorcycle. It doesn’t make no difference if your Cubs fan or not this place is cool.!!! It did bomb me out that my pint of bush light was cheaper than my girlfriends glass of Sprite. Her Sprite Cost more than my beers!!! What!!!! Still a cool stop tho.

Coming from Grand Rapids on a valentine weekend. What a great find. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic. I’m not a cubbies fan but it was sure a lot of fun to go there and see all the work and the art and the effort people put into making this place a realization. It is a for sure stop. Along with the friendly locals.

This place is always so much fun! We come to the area about once a year and always make at least one stop in here. They have great dinner specials and stay open late in the area. We come as a family and really enjoy ourselves. Kristy is a great server that cares about making good drinks! It is worth a stop in this Cubs only bar!

Had the rib special which came with two sides, I got tater tots and coleslaw. The iced tea was brewed freshly onsite, it was the best I’ve had in some time.
Plenty of TVs everywhere. Came in with family to watch the Cubs and grab a bite to eat.
This place screams nostalgia with old photos/memorabilia all around the restaurant from the moment you pull up to when you sit down at your table.
This is a staple I will incorporate into my stops when I venture back into Southwest Michigan.

I heard so much about Getaway I had to try it. Went for the firday fish fry and we went early. Hahaha so the early you go the longer you have to wait. We got there about 5:45 pm and finally got seated about 6:10. The next time I think I will go around 7pm or 7:30pm. Things seemed to slow down. The food is worth the wait.

I planned my vacation to include this restaurant when I headed across the state of Michigan. I loved it 2 years ago when I first stopped by and couldn’t wait to go back.
Love the atmosphere inside and out. Especially the outside and the outdoor dining area. Nice mural of Chicago on the back wall. Top notch unique and I’m not even a big fan of baseball. lol Our server, Adriana, was excellent. She was prompt, friendly and happy to wait on us. She took our order, 2 prime rib meals and checked on us multiple times. Prime rib was just okay. Booth prime steaks were way overcooked. Prefer med rare, but received them very well done. Still, it was edible and the rest of our meal was good. Bench seat booths were hard wood and not very comfortable. Will choose table and chairs next time around. Enjoyed watching the Cubs play baseball on many of the TV located inside the restaurant. All and all, it was another great stop that was a necessity for our trip to Lake Michigan. Will be back next year.
