They SMASHED it!!
Get Smashed is a cheeseburger paradise! It’s easy to find as it’s right off the 355 expressway on Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn in the strip mall across from Pete’s Grocery Store. If you love cheeseburgers then this is the only place you need to go from now on! We ordered the original smash burgers which consist of double patties of daily fresh ground beef and a cheese that’s the perfect melting point on a soft warm brioche bun. These burgers are so good you don’t want to put anything on them. The edges are delicious crispy goodness. Almost like the old days butter burgers but better! They are best left exactly they way they are made. The burger was warm and melted in your mouth. The waffle fries came out piping hot, mildly spiced and they give you a generous portion. The staff is super friendly and really wants to make sure you enjoyed your food. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The indoor seating was very clean and kept up nicely. This is our new go to place when we you need a cheeseburger fix! Thanks guys for smashing these cheese burgers right out of the park!!

Today was their opening day, and I’ve been so excited to try this place. It’s legit just burgers and fries. Oh my, it is killer. The burger is so juicy and flavorful, the seasoned waffle fries are nice and crispy, even after driving home. The employees are so nice. Definitely will be going back.

This burger joint in the Baker Hill shopping complex near Petes fresh market is serving up some of the best no nonsense burgers and fries you will find just about anywhere. The burger patties are smashed crispy and heartily loaded up with the most delicious melty cheese. You get a few pickles on the side but that’s it. No lettuce, no tomatoes, nothing but crispy juicy burger and smooth thick cheese stacked on a brioche bun. Every single bite is unadulterated burger heaven. Then there’s the fries. None of those limp chicago style crinkle cut fries here. These guys pull off the impossible, a hearty plate of curly fries with not a single one undercooked, even the biggest chunks. This plate of fries is nothing short of a crispy, seasoned, miracle of potato perfection. Add a cold drink, energetic and friendly staff, and a cheerful burger ambience, and that’s Get Smashed.

IT’s burger time!!! Because that’s everything on the menu. Easy peasy simply. Fries and burgers. There were also some kitschy/quirky signs on the wall that made it feel even more burgery (in a wonderfully fitting way). I absotooley loved the place.
Personally, I definitely enjoyed my burger. LIKE IMMENSENLY. LIKE HOLY COW WOW. The meat is ground and then ‘smashed’, so you get a flatter, juicy burger than maybe what you’d see with a patty and is placed on a buttery, warm bun. The burger comes undressed with cheese (or not if you prefer to not cut it) only and pickles on the side. Other toppings are extra. I thought the burger was quite flavorful, juicy and hit the spot. The fries were divine, flavorful and crispy. I also saw after I devoured the meal that there were some dipping sauces you can purchase to go along with your fries. Have to try next time.
The staff were amazing, checking in with us and being quite welcoming. All in all, a burg-a-licious experience that I quite thoroughly enjoyed.

Best smash burger around. Order the burger the way it is on the menu. Doesn’t need any condiments. The cheese blend was perfect. The beef was cooked and flavored perfectly. Seasoned waffle fries were top notch as well.

I was grumpy when I took my wife out to the stores and had the choice to pick lunch after shopping and saw the sign to “get smashed”..crew was super nice and food was pumped out fast and hot. Great Burgers! Freshly made in full view. Highly recommend the grilled onions and bacon option! Several dipping sauces are available. The seasoned fries were amazing too! Get Smashed will donate to SEASPAR through Aug 22, to help those with disabilities.
