Gerry’s Fish & Chicken is a staple in the neighborhood. I grabbed a 10-piece wing combo with fries and a fish basket today, spending about $15, and it was worth every penny. The wings are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the fish is fresh and seasoned just right. Friendly staff, quick service, and the spot always feels like home. If you’re in the area, definitely hit this spot. No cap, you won’t regret it!

Every single time I’ve placed A order for pickup it has not been ready. They will tell you ten minutes you can take 20 minutes to get there and I promise you your food will not be ready. I almost got a ticket for parking at the bus stop because I took 25 minutes to get there for a gyro cheeseburger and the guy did not start cooking it until I arrived. Southern sitting inside waiting for my food the officer asked me to move before he wrote me a ticket. I understand that we are in the hood but customer service should be universal.

Food is good I can’t lie and for a person like me who only eats seafood and veggies it worked!! The Spinach Pizza puff is hard to find on the south side of Chicago and they have one which is very good…I will definitely make it a regular spot!!!

I only rate Gerry’s a 3 because the customer service is horrible. I order from here often (2-3 times a month), sometimes I call in, sometimes I order on the spot. When calling in for a pickup, the cashier is so rude and doesn’t know how to mute the phone. She’ll say “Gerry’s Fish & Chicken, hold on.” And start talking to the cook. I have to call several times before actually being able to get through.

I just hung up from a phone call about my uber eats order.The woman who answered the call was rude and the man who she says is her boss is rude. My order was missing three pieces of chicken plus I only received hot sauce when I specifically request mild sauce only because we never use the hot sauce. They want to act like I’m lying. Now, I have to come up to get the missing food And the correct sauces I requested which defeats the purpose of having ordered via uber eats. Yet ANOTHER business I have to keep my money out.
Addition: I went to pick up the missing pieces and correct sauce and was still met with push back and no willingness to admit a mistake was made when counting the chicken for the drop and yet he was saying he didn’t want to lose a customer over three pieces. Trying to accuse the Uber eats driver of stealing from my order really is NOT how you try to keep a customer your rudeness already lost when I called about the mistakes in the first place. For whatever reason, you gave me an incorrect order and I called you on it. Own up!! Deal with it as a business owner should have, not with accusatory tones and verbatim.
