Finally! An amazing spot in this corner. Tried it today and it has easily become my favorite new restaurant on the Ave. The atmosphere is awesome, long beautiful bar, comfortable seats on the outside dinner tables, and our server Kevin was such a delight. Our greeting with hostess Melanie was also pleasant. We ordered the queso flameado, which was delicious and bubbling hot for the longest time which was nice. The flavor of the cheese was great and has an awesome cheese pull. While the bottom bubbles, it developed a nice and grilled, almost crispy layer on the bottom, almost like two flavors in one. We also ordered the chips & salsa which were great. I ordered the pork carnitas tacos with the homemade corn tortillas which I absolutely loved, my godmother wasn’t a flavor of those tortillas but she normally prefers flour tortillas in general. We also ordered the achiote chicken quesadillas which were good as well but not our favorite. We ended our meal with a delicious tres leches cake that was perfectly moist. As a New Yorker I appreciated everything about this joint! Can’t wait for my next return down South to come and try more from the menu. Good luck and hope it stays full!

If you haven’t been to New Mexico, specifically Santa Fe, eating here is very reminiscent of that cuisine. It’s most evident is the fresh roasted chile sauces that have the depth of flavor that permeates your senses. It’s an intoxicating and addictive venue for all senses as the atmosphere is beautifully comforting in a non fancy, but upscale environment, again, reminiscent of Santa Fe. I ordered the Hatch green chile stew, which was over the top good, with chicken and vegetables that was outstanding. I then ordered the Chicken Tinga burrito which was also outstanding, especially the two sauces, the only negative was that it was room temperature and not hot(and I like my food hot). I give them grace here as I ate here before they were “officially “ open. Another great feature of this place is the size of the bar, 20 seats alone on the Ave and the rest inside. I’m looking forward to many a great evening here in the near future as this place is an incredible addition to the DRB food scene.

Wow! Great addition to the Delray strip! Well executed southwestern fare with lots of Mexico on the menu. Cool vibe and redo of the space with a focus on bar ffom happy hour to late night (open until 2am!). Exceptional service from Izzy and manager came to visit and welcome, much appreciated! Great first week execution and more to come. Looking to build the biggest tequila selection on the east coast! Highly recommend overall. It’s loud, in a good way!

No restaurant opening in Delray had me more excited than this…and I’m thrilled that they executed the perfect place (for me anyway).

The food is fantastic. The atmosphere pretty much can’t be beat (maybe matched) in Delray. Love the huge bar but love the bartenders even more- they hired VERY well.

Shout out to Shaina, Dez, Justin, Antoine…and equally amazing waiters: Luis and Bob.

Thanks Geronimo- you’ve made one transplant very happy.

PS: Best margarita I’ve had in forever.

Absolutely fantastic new addition to Delray. Geronimo is not a “$5 taco spot” and anyone saying that clearly hasn’t stepped through the doors or looked at the menu. This is authentic, upscale Southwestern cuisine with thoughtful ingredients, bold flavors, and beautiful presentation.

The food we had was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is lively but refined, the service is attentive, and the menu offers something genuinely unique for the area.

Ignore the baseless reviews from people who haven’t actually dined here. If you’re looking for a real dining experience that brings Santa Fe inspired Southwestern flavors to Delray, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back.

I was skeptical about trying this new restaurant in town, it seemed overhyped and required booking in advance. But the food completely won me over. Everything was delicious.
We started with the cauliflower appetizer, which was fantastic, then moved on to the game meat and the Carne Asada—both were standout dishes, full of flavor and perfectly executed.
Service started off a bit rocky with two waiters attending our table for some reason, which felt confusing at first. Things moved slowly in the beginning, but once one waiter took over, he was excellent—attentive, knowledgeable, and really elevated the experience.
My only real complaint is the lighting. We could barely read the menu, and it’s strange that they don’t have small table lamps on all their tables. A little more light would have make a big difference.
Overall, the food was so good that I’d definitely go back—hype aside, it delivered.
The bathrooms though could be cleaner and also, the toilets are black, so it’s difficult to see if they are even clean…

My wife and I went there with our son. The cucumber strawberry Margarita was very good. The spicy blood orange had a very little kick of spicy so if you are someone that can’t handle jalapeños I am pretty sure you can handle this drink.

We ordered queso flameado for the table and it was really good. The appetizer has a really good flavor and did not taste really spicy either. It comes out very hot temperature wise so be careful not to burn your mouth. The best thing about it is that the cheese that has contact with the inside of the bowl gets over cooked which you have to use a fork to take it off to eat. We ordered tables idea Guac with shrimp and pineapple but next time we will skip adding the shrimp and pineapple.

The birria tacos were amazing and the shrimp tempura taco were also good but they came with corn tacos which were coming apart when they were being eaten so next time we may ask to have them with flour tortillas instead.

We ordered banana tres leches and the chocolate cake for dessert which were good but wish there there were bananas in the tres leches instead instead of them being on the side. The tres leches could have also been more wet for authenticity.

All in all Julia our server was great and was quick with our drink orders. She frequented our table to refill water and check on us to make sure everything was going ok. The drink and food orders came out quickly for how busy and new that it was.

Incredible Experience – A Must-Visit for Southwest Flavors!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill. I’m already planning my next visit!
The Service & Atmosphere:
The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, but what truly made the night was the service. Lee was our server and was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to get such high-quality service where you feel genuinely taken care of.
The Food:
The dishes were the stars of the show:
• Tableside Guacamole: Served in a traditional molcajete, it was incredibly fresh and topped with delicious pico de gallo. The house-made chips were the perfect crunch to start the meal.
• Whole Fried Snapper: A total showstopper! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with sweet plantains and seasoned rice.
• Braised Short Rib: This was melt-in-your-mouth tender, served over a rich, creamy mash with perfectly charred broccolini.
Verdict:
5 stars all around for food, service, and vibe. If you go, ask for Lee! I will definitely be back.

I believe they opened a week ago. Went for Happy Hour & dinner. Drinks (maybe 5 choices) and apps (3) are the extent of HH. Very limited, but we were enjoying our outdoor table, orange blood margaritas and the atmosphere so we ordered fresh guacamole, Maui tacos, Mac n Cheese with truffle oil & ceviche. Pretty presentation and nice service. Only complaint was the ceviche. Someone missed the seasoning or marinade part. lol It was beyond bland, but everything else was outstanding.

Everything was amazing. Cowgirl chopped salad, chicken tortilla soup, and spaghetti squash burrito bowl were all excellent. Loved the Santa Fe Native American–inspired flavors. Our server Austin was great. Attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Will definitely be back.
