I’ve been meaning to try this place out for some time and am excited to say I’m glad I finally did! Two friends and I stopped in for dinner on an early Saturday evening. The place is small inside with only 2 tables seating 4 each. It’s part deli type store with a shelf of imported dry goods and refrigerated selection of beverages some alcoholic. The staff is cordial .There were also a sizable number of carryout orders processed as we ate. See the pics of the spaghetti Bolognese and pork goulash with spaetzle and red cabbage served on large china plates. The quality and flavor of the dishes was excellent with my co diners commenting how happy they were we tried the place. The black forest cake was also homemade rare for desserts in our area and well worth the price, made authentically with real whipped cream! Don’t miss this little gem if you appreciate German cuisine or have never tried it, you are in for a treat. There is also outside seating for good weather days.

Lovely people making incredible food. I ordered a Jägerschnitzel with Spaetzle to go since a huge snowstorm was on its way. It was tender and buttery, fried to a beautiful golden brown. My wife, who isn’t a fan of German food, asked to try a bite and had that look of, “oh, I’m getting this next time we go out.”
The cook, after I was handed my to-go plate, gave me a big thumbs-up — clearly proud of his work. You should be, mein Freund! Es war ausgezeichnet!

We dropped by for lunch today and it was great. It’s a small place so more for take out but that’s no issue for us. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. The food was fantastic! I love German food and was just planning a trip back to Germany so coming here was timely. I would absolutely and happily come back here again. Finding a place that can properly cook red cabbage is like a dream and it was perfectly done.

Not your run of the mill family restaurant and a really great find. A new dish for me that turned out to be a culinary treat; the schnitzel, spetzle, and mushroom sauce was wonderful.
Tried a couple bites of the pork, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut that was outstanding as well. A new twist on sauerkraut that I really enjoyed.
The hostess was very polite, accommodating and provided excellent service.
Only three tabes inside which were filled causing new arrivals to find an alternative elsewhere as it was a little chilly to sit at the outside tables.
Definitely a good choice for a good meal.

Food is authentic (I’m German, my husband and kids also approve). We enjoyed every bite and the portions are generous. Highly recommend.

Visiting from Richmond, VA. Called for the schnitzel amd spaetzle and it was the special for the day. Headed over and it was ready (circa 10 min.) The mushroom gravy was so rich and yummy. Great portion size. I ate it the entire evening.

This place is awesome! Simple and delicious. The schnitzel special and the roulade (beef) are wonderful. We love this place because it doesn’t pretend to be fancy and the food is cooked faster than it’s competitors. We have driven twice in the last two weeks from McLean… it’s worth it! Note: if you use a credit card it will not allow you to tip; so bring enough cash to cover the tip. Mark and Sarah from DC
