Absolutely fantastic! A taste of the east coast over in Portland. The people working were very kind – especially the girl with the NY hat on! Big fan – will be back. 10/10. We got the Spicy Geraldi (an Italian) and the chicken parm! Plus the pasta salad. So yummy!

I am besides myself. This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The staff were so kind and suggested I tried their meatball and spicy Italian (the 2 most popular for good reason).
I do NOT like sandwiches especially hot ones, but that damn meatball sub had me in a chokehold. Giant, juicy, but not crumbly meatballs, oddly a little soft but I loved the texture drenched in this boasting with flavor sauce (it felt made with love) on this crusty bread with tons of melted cheese. To die for.
I split this sandwich with the spicy Italian special one and added jalapeño and pepperchini (pepperochini?? Pepercini??) the pickled yellow peppers and it was like heaven in a bite. Quite the balance of salty, fatty, acidic goodness.
Don’t let them fool you though. 1 sandwich is quite enough between 2 people but if you are feeling a little greedy then get the full sub. I think it’s worth it.
This place is permanently on my comeback list. I hope you all find as much joy in it as I did.

Got there early on a Friday, around 11:45a and I was the first one in the parking lot out front. The place was not busy yet as I was the only customer at that time. I was greeted by the person behind the counter and given menus and told to sit anywhere and ordering was at the counter. My friend and I decided on a pizza and it took about 15mins from order to the pizza arriving at our table. It was good but felt the crust could have been a bit crispier but the large satisfied us with two slices to spare. Around noon the place started to fill up and the noise levels rose but still was not too noisy that it interrupted our conversations.

Great local spot with friendly service. The food all tasted fresh and came in larger than expected portion sizes. Great price to portion ratio. The pastrami was the best out of everything I tried. The Italian soda was refreshing on a hot day like today.

Gerardi’s is the best locally owned Italian Sandwhich shop! Not only do they have sandwiches but the also have pizza, lasagna, pasta and meatballs. My fav before this last visit was the chicken parmesan and chicken parmeroni sandwiches. My wife loves the chicago beef. This visit I branched out and tried the lasagna and 2 meatballs. The menu didn’t mention the delicious garlic bread that was included. I will definitely have this again. Worth a visit for sure!

We need one on the East side! I tried the turkey which married well with my taste buds. The PIZZA, BOMB! They cater and also have lasagna and spaghetti. Pizza reminded me of Mario’s in Brooklyn NY late 80’s. The sandwich seasoning blend and condiments married well with my taste buds. Will never be able have another sub til I’m back that wsy! They place is super welcoming. Dine in is limited but does have 6 seat tables too. Fresh local bakery is their bread supply, make me happy to hear that. The crew today were amazing, super busy and smiling. That’s a rarity in too many places these days. Im happy to see a small business that should be proud. Don’t bother getting the small. Two meals makes price not too bad. The quality is over the top! Big kudos to today’s crew!!!

Admittedly I had the spaghetti and not a sandwich. I’m sure the sandwiches are great, since that’s what this place is known for, but the pasta was mediocre. Huge portion sizes though plus lots of garlic bread so if you’d like to get two meals in one, this is the place to go. Great service as well.

I was raised on the east coast and I love a good hoagie. I’ve been getting Geraldi’s the last year or so for my hoagie needs! They have fresh ingredients everyday that you can taste in their sandwiches. Their bread has been fresh every single time along with their veggies. They Jam Pack their hoagies (subs) and always hit it with flavor. I get the spicy 6 inch or I can share the 12 inch. It’s not spicy , just has the ham, salami, provolone, onions, peppers, oil parmesan and S+P. You can also sub the ham out for turkey which is what I do. They got the primo claussen pickles and a good brand is sea salt kettle chips. All the flavors blend really well. I’ll continue going to Geraldi’s for when we get that craving for a good sandwich. Skip any other of the big franchise sandwich shops if you want an authentic east coast / Italian style sub and hit Geraldi’s.

We are always looking for a great sandwich and we found multiple here! The ratios for the italian sandwich were perfect. Their Chicago beef & sausage was delicious and they were very willing to help us create the wet beef sandwich we were after.
Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The portions were awesome. The taste was just what we were looking for.
We’ll be back!

Pastrami was tasty. Most of the default sandwiches are a bit on the dry side so make sure to ask for appropriate condiments.
