We stopped off at Georgio’s while taking a stroll through Downtown Crystal Lake and our stomachs started rumbling. I’d never been, but it got high remarks from family members.
4 of us stopped in around noon. The place was nearly empty, but l’ve heard it gets really crowded at night. The atmosphere was cute and clean, and our server was friendly. We split a Large (14″) Pizza with mushrooms and sausage. It was really good, and filled all of us up. Crust was delicious, but it could have used just a tad more sauce.
The atmosphere, service, food, and pricing were all very satisfactory, and there wasn’t any issues, so l’m giving Georgio’s a 5.
The vibe inside leans industrial — clean lines, a touch of urban grit, and a cool, casual energy that feels just right for a laid-back night out.
To drink, I went with an Old Fashioned, and it did not disappoint. Smooth, balanced, and finished with a luxe Luxardo cherry — a small detail, but one that makes all the difference.
And then there’s the carrot cake. Moist, rich, and just sweet enough. A perfect ending to a great meal.
Georgia’s doesn’t just serve pizza — they’ve crafted an experience that feels special, without trying too hard. Already looking forward to the next visit
The pizza crust was so deliciously crunchy.
The calamari was also great with three sauces .
This place is highly recommended for Chicago style pizza lovers specially if you ride the train to the city.
It is right there in downtown Crystal lake.
Overall great experience.
My Mom and I were there, waiting on my husband. Server was attentive, we received water and ordered wine and apps. Once my husband arrived he ordered a beer, changed to a Bloody Mary and wanted the beer too. Our server stated that they could not give two alcoholic drinks to one person at a time. We understand if that is the restaurants policy but it was the way she responded was some what snotty. We asked if he could do a beer chaser (I know not in Wisconsin) again a snotty response.
Before our lunch came Mom and I were ready for another wine. She walked past our table 3-4 times and never asked if we would like another. When she did stop with our order WE had to ask before she walked away.
At the end of service we asked for a box for our pizza and app. She came back with a box and literally through it on the table.
Hhmmm… Maybe an off day? Either way this will not deter me from going to Georgio’s for the food and ambiance but, geesh I will hope there is another server.
If you’re having trouble deciding on a menu item, just ask your server for a recommendation. They are happy to provide a suggestion from their experience. Some of my favorites are the addition of drizzling balsamic glaze on a pizza, ordering the Italian beef sandwich on garlic bread, or adding spinach and mushrooms to the macaroni and cheese. And if you order a side of ranch dressing to dip your fries in, you won’t be disappointed!
Customer service at Georgios can’t be beat. If we ever experience a problem with service, food, drinks, etc., they will do MORE than necessary to resolve any issue.
Posting photos below of some of their delicious food. Are you hungry yet? Go there today!

Georgios Pizza has always been our go-to spot. We began going there shortly after they opened, searching for a tasty deep dish pizza (as there was nothing else in the area that fit the bill).
One taste of their authentic deep dish had us hooked and we have been patronizing their establishment ever since. Not only is the deep dish pizza delicious, but their thin crust is equally tasty as well. If you, instead, prefer a calzone, they are made to order and are generous in size.
In addition to their pizzas, we have tried many other menu items and have not been disappointed. If you begin with any of their appetizers, each one is sure to please. The cast-iron grilled hamburger is one of the most tastiest burgers I’ve ever had. Their Italian beef rivals Portillos, especially if you order it on crusty garlic bread. The accompanying french fries are the bomb! All of their salads are fresh and crisp and are perfectly paired with a flavorful dressing. The antipasto salad is particularly yummy if you add Italian sausage. For those in the mood for pasta, Georgios has you covered for that too. Each is a generous portion and a delight to the senses. If you save room for dessert after your meal, you will be delighted by any of Georgios options, our favorite being the Mount St. Georgio, a large freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a cherry on top. The made-from-scratch cheesecake and carrot cake are popular as well and both are extremely large portions.
The service at Georgios is outstanding. From the hostesses that greet you, to the bartenders pouring your drinks, the servers who wait on you, or the managers running the restaurant, each one has been helpful, friendly, and courteous. If there is ever a problem, the staff will go above and beyond to make things right. Their customer service is excellent and they will do everything to keep their customers coming back.
This is a well-run establishment, a family- friendly place, and a company that gives back to the community. It’s definitely worth checking out.
