I grew up in the South, where barbecue is not just food, it is a language. You learn early how to listen for it. The smoke tells you stories. The bark tells you the truth. So when I say Georgia Boy Smokehouse is one of the best barbecue spots I have had in Colorado, I mean that with a full heart and a serious standard.
This place understands patience. You can taste the hours. The depth of flavor hits you first, then it settles in and stays, like a good memory that refuses to leave. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is pretending to be something it is not. This is honest barbecue, made with care and respect for the craft.
The bourbon pork butt deserves its own standing ovation. Tender, rich, layered with smoke and sweetness in all the right places. It is the kind of bite that makes you stop talking mid sentence just to appreciate what is happening. Something to behold, truly. But do not just take the word of this Southern kid. Go taste it for yourself and let the smoke do the talking.

I went to Georgia boys smokehouse to grab some lunch on a Saturday. It was packed but I got a spot at the bar, the bar tender Jay was great. He was attentive and helpful in my food choices. I got a blackberry vodka lemonade, a fried chicken salad and a side of the green bean casserole. DELICIOUS!!! Everyone working was really nice, and friendly. I had such a great experience and wanted to let the owners know how great it was!

Went for the first time today, and I ordered a loaded baked potato with pulled pork & side of fried okra. It was all fantastic, and I’m now obsessed with their Carolina mustard sauce. I also love that they serve ginger beer! Look forward to returning soon & trying the bread pudding.

They’re not filling the containers of sides anymore. They used to. I should’ve taken a photo before we touched it. I am So Glad we chose someone else to cater our wedding. Never again, your sides are Trash. Thanks for the knowledge. I’ll Never be lazy about bbq again. Good day
PS: popeyes mac and cheese is better. Don’t eastern your time. This is nit a good location. Go to Longmont.

The meat is a choking hazard. Bbq should not be that dry. Sliced brisket and pulled pork very disappointing and dry. Ribs were okay but on top of dry meats, service was awful. Georgia boys is not what it used to be. Haven’t had good burnt ends like they did when they were back at the shack.

Dry, flavorless meat. Good barbecue shouldn’t need sauce. The sides and desserts aren’t any better. They’ve been bad since they expanded out of the little house in Longmont. Save your money and go somewhere else.

We celebrated my 38th birthday at Georgia Boys and I’m so thankful we did. The atmosphere was amazing and we loved the music playlists. The outdoor patio was nice and spacious. And the FOOD….that was definitely the best. The BBQ is hands down the best I’ve had. I highly recommend the burnt ends as they are so incredibly delicious. Our server Sara was so friendly and kind. And the manager Aaron greeted us at our table and made sure that we were pleased with everything. We will absolutely be back!

We had a Texas Toast brisket, but very disappointing. Barely one slice of brisket on the sandwich. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but not worth the money if you want a real brisket sandwich head to Nordy’s! Service was good although our drinks were never refilled. Sorry, not worth the drive or$.

Kind folks & tasty mac, but when someone orders chicken, you can’t give them beef instead without telling them. I didn’t realize cuz it was covered in cheese & BBQ sauce, but I’ve been on the toilet in pain for hours because I can’t eat beef and they got my order wrong. Not okay!

The food and service is great. However this place lives up to its local reputation. ” Really great overpriced food.”
With tax and tip I just spent $25 on a mediocre-sized plate of nachos and a beer. Both were great and maybe that’s the new normal but I will not get used to it. If I am going to spend $25 on food and alcohol at a restaurant I better walk away satiated – and I am not…
This place is the restaurant – equivalent of a strip club. You get teased with extacy but are utterly left unsatisfied and disappointed.
