From the outside the establishment appears to be a small family restaurant and it is! My family & I (party of 4) were welcomed and seated immediately upstairs per reservation. The space is tight but the business gets busy and reservations have to be made for guaranteed seating. Doris, Antonio, and Sarah were of great service to our party on Valentine’s evening (2026). We had tried quite a few of the items off the menu & we all agreed that everything was A1 (the bomb).

*The New England clam chowder was nice and hot temperature wise, with filling chunks of potatoes and clams; lobster bisque has a tasty base but wood prefer more chunks of lobster.

*Hush puppies were hot and golden brown with a delicious and creamy dipping sauce.

*The shrimp cocktail was presented nicely and slightly warmed. The size of the shrimp is large. Very delicious, lemon and lime with cocktail sauce.

*Fried calamari was fried to a nice crisp and served hot with dipping sauces and lemon wedge.

*Jumbo lump crab cake was perfectly broiled with a nice slight crisp, no filler all lump. Delicious!

*Lobster mayo roll- toasted roll was delicious with chunks of lobster. I requested my lobster chilled on toasted roll with extra mayo. The complimentary coleslaw was even good, all coleslaw is not created equal!

*Vanilla bean cheesecake is a small but reasonably sized cut with whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate shavings. Delicious!

*Chocolate cheesecake to our surprise actually had a chocolate chip cookie (I believe it was dough but it may have been a baked cookie) over cheesecake filling with whip cream, chocolate shavings, and strawberries.

The pitcher of water had blueberries, strawberries, and oranges. We each got a complimentary box of chocolate and I got to take a V-Day balloon. We had a great experience and will return again.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by Mama, Cee, Ms. Jai, Hugo, and Antonio. I arrived with three other members of the executive union board, and we were all impressed by the exquisite food and the remarkable politeness of the entire staff. I will definitely be returning the next time I visit DC.

The crab cake was, without a doubt, the best I have ever eaten in my life! I can’t recommend this place enough….run, don’t walk, to this restaurant!

Food was delightful, service was fantastic, and the restaurant itself was so cozy. Loved the entire experience, would definitely go again. The crew (Mama, Cee, Antonio, and another I can’t remember, maybe Jay) were so hospitable and elevated the experience, made me feel like I was a regular. Great vibes. Also the house sauce is the bomb, made the great calamari even better.

Just Woow!!!
This was the best seafood restaurant I have ever been to. The food was incredible and so is the service. Everyone was so sweet. They let us try the soup before buying it to make sure we liked it. The lobster roll, hush puppies (recommended by front server) and lobster bisque was out of this world. Will definitely need to come back here every time in Washington. Even got lollipops on the way out. So great!!!

Thanks to the staff’s kindness and warm welcome, the delicious food felt even more enjoyable.

The restaurant was clean and had plenty to see inside, and the staff provided clear explanations for all of our questions, even showing photos when needed. There is also seating available on the second floor.

The only small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to put bags. It would have been more comfortable if there were hooks or a spot next to the tables to hang them.

I love walking into an establishment and being greeted as if the staff has known me for years. But when your food backs up that warm welcome, it makes everything so much better. The food here at Georgetown Seafood is unmatched!!! Everything tastes fresh and the food was seasoned to the GODs. I highly recommend the lobster roll, the hush puppies, and the potato salad. My mom makes a killer potato salad, this potato salad has a slight edge(don’t tell mom).

Great food and great service! I think her name was Momma Cee but she was so young and cute i will just call her Little Momma 🙂 She and Antonio were awesome. All of the food was delicous. Make sure you get that crab cake and a lobster roll! Oh my Lord so yummy. When you get tired of all the fancy spots and just want real good food for your money, this is the place!

The service was great. We came in with 9 people and 2 being young kids. They helped us figure out seating and instantly ensured we were taken care of. They were so quick and on it. The food was amazing as you’d hope! Think we all got something different and it was great.

Amazing food. I have eaten their lobster roll and hush puppies combo dozens of times and it’s always amazing. The people working here are very kind and the place is always spotless.

This place is the best crab cake restaurant in all of DC hands down. For the price you get a huge portion of crab and sides to go with it. The sandwich isn’t overrun with a lot of other stuff so you can really just taste all the crab in it, it’s truly amazing and whenever I come to DC I always try to make the trip to Georgetown so I can eat here. I’m from Seattle and there is no place in my city that would give crab cakes this big at this price either.
